Started when I was 22, haven’t had any issues with it. I’m 26 now as well. I just came off due to an injury but I would recommend it against the up and downs of cycling, if you’re serious about the lifestyle.
Even if down the road you do decide you want another kid, blasting and cruising won’t make that an impossible endeavor. With modern medicine it’s really not that hard. Look at all the pro bodybuilders with kids. Shit, even Bostin Loyd has a kid now.
It’s one of the few things in my life that I am serious about. Honestly it just seems logical rather then the 2 steps forward 1 step back with cycling.
Well, there’s a lot of reasons. Some of them being due to changes in my life and loss of financial status. I figured it wouldn’t be a bad time to take a break and see if I could recover naturally. I’m losing gains anyways. I could have stayed on, but I wanted to take some time off and clear my body out. I think it’s important to take some time off here and there if you’re blasting and cruising long term. Not only for health, but for androgen sensitivity as well. I’ll be hopping back on in February once I’m cleared to train again.
If you’re going to keep cycling then it’s hard to argue that the BnC route isn’t the smarter choice. Eventually you’ll end a cycle and discover that you simply don’t recover well enough and it’ll be time to start trt anyway.
For me, competing in strongman and I am seriously trying to take it to the highest competitive level I can reach, B&C was a no brainer. I am also married with 2 kids but I am 32
I did it because I had low T, and started TRT. I figured why not run a couple cycles here and there to get as big as I can get and hold on 200 mg/wk. I guess I figured why not look how people expect one to look on TRT (which is approximately how the top 1% on TRT actually look).
Once I get to the point where all my gains diminish on my TRT dose, I’ll likely stop blasting. I think the risk reward gets really skewed towards risk at that point (long term damage to health for short term muscle). Maybe I’ll run a blast if I get out of shape or something, but not half on / half off like I am currently doing. I probably only have a few blasts left before I get to that point, and I am on only my second currently.
You’re an adult and you’ve chosen a certain lifestyle. You might as well pursue it in the way that makes the most sense and causes the least amount of disruption in your body. If you said “stay natty or start trt?” the answer would have been very different.
I was planning on sticking to the 150mg/wk, get blood work done and see where I end up.
I think most would be surprised at the amount of muscle someone on TRT can hold onto. I will likely do similar to what you are planning. Ill BnC until I reach a point where the equivalent of a replacement dose won’t let me hold anymore and just maintain that level from there.
The dude off more plates more dates says he’s only on 125mg/wk and he’s 220 and shredded.
I don’t plan to blast for long, maybe a few more times over the next 2 years so I may as well make the most of it rather then the typical 2 steps forward and 1 back.
That’s all I’m looking for while cruising. Might push it a bit higher the first time I cruise but will definitely only be looking to stick to the upper range after my next cycle.
Smart move long term. I think there are very real risks, but not using crazy dosages and not doing it long term are going to help a lot IMO. Being at too high a trt dose for long periods isn’t necessarily healthy either. I don’t see a lot of risk with 200. Much higher than that though and I would be too nervous about it.
I’ve pretty much vowed to never use over a gram of gear or use tren during cycle or while blasting on BnC. Honestly I just don’t think its necessary unless you A make money off what you do or B have serious ambitions of becoming the most elite of your sport. If you have your diet and training down pat 1g of gear can do amazing things.
