It’s possible we will see a 3rd wave of cases. I think the US had the initial wave of approximately 25K per day then a slight dip before another very strong wave where we were in the upper 50’s consistently. So I think from a cases perspective another wave is very possible at some point. From a deaths perspective we are treating it more effectively so I don’t see the US returning to 2K deaths or anything. We’ve pretty much normalized 1K deaths per day though so it doesn’t even grab many people’s attention. It’s just the current normal.

A better question is what happened to the flu and how did it get replaced with COVID? Every virus outbreak has to start somewhere and if very, very few people had the flu in the past year and now there is socialist distancing and masks then chances are there won’t be a whole lot of flu case this coming season.
There is also a vaccine for the flu. No, seriously.
Yeah but it’s only around 40% effective, maybe less, and hundreds of millions of people still get the flu every year except this one.
But it also reduces the severity of the flu and the chances of hospitalization in those who do get sick.
Ok but what is your point then? All I’m saying is that it’s an odd coincidence that we had a very mild flu season and at the same time a global outbreak of another flu-like illness.
Also a lot of people get sick from flu shots. If you tell your doctor they will respond that it’s because you were already infected with the flu before getting your shot, but it happens too often to be a coincidence. For that reason, a lot of healthcare workers (who are under pressure to take the flu vaccine) either refuse to take it or have their nurse friends sign the form saying they had it when they actually did not.
How is it odd? It also wasn’t mild in the USA.
Maybe not in the USA, elsewhere it was though.
It’s just an odd coincidence, but a fortunate one because otherwise many more people would have died.

I think this encapsulates why America has been hit so hard. There are good, very real concerns and points mixed in with conspiracy, guns, and misplaced “don’t tread on me” attitude.

The problem is that it would affect China too, as well as the rest of the world. If you and your evil billionaire/politician friends had a scheme to create major social and economic upheaval around the world, COVID-19 is likely a better tool. It spreads very quickly and has the potential to kill a large number of people, but it’s not so deadly that those behind it would be at imminent risk of dying. I’m not saying that’s necessarily what it is, but if that was in fact what was going on then they wouldn’t want something more powerful.
I guess if he’s the only one with balls enough to share his opinion then they don’t need to be too worried about a revolution right now. I feel for the guy though and hope he can get some help.
Does it though? The CCP has in the past been on record as willing to do without 50% of their population. Is the CCP cruel enough to inflict so much pain on their own people, just to gain a powerful economic upper hand? My tinfoil hat removed says ‘Yes, absolutely’.
Maybe you have a point. It depends on a lot of things though, if half of China’s population died of disease is that actually beneficial to whatever scheme of theirs? Seems like it would damage their economy badly, losing half the workforce, but you never know what they have in mind.

If there is something like this going on then it’s not China vs. the US or the rest of the world, most governments are involved in it. Just look at how it has been handled in various places, it’s one big comedy of errors. You can’t do anything more than speculate on the actual origins of the virus, but the way it was and continues to be managed definitely gives the impression that there is an agenda behind it that isn’t limited to minimizing the damage caused by the virus itself. People and groups such as the World Economic Forum are calling this the “Great Reset”, and Castro’s son wants to rebuild Canada’s economy with more carbon taxes and bullshit.
