Actually, this could be good news for the US.
Boris Johnson was firmly on the “herd immunity” banwagon until he contracted the virus himself and ended up in the ICU being administered oxygen.
He made an U-turn after that - skin in the game and all that.

I’ve heard that Trump drinks around 12 cans of coke a day and hit diet conists of a significant amount of junk food. His immune system might not be well equipped to fight the virus, especially considering his age.
Basing public policy on how he himself was affected by the virus is pretty stupid. People get sick, permanently injured, or killed by vaccines too but I don’t hear anyone calling for them to be banned.
Serious question though, if Trump gets too sick to do his job or even dies then what happens with the election? Pence becomes the candidate? BLM’s voodoo must be working because this couldn’t have happened at a better time.

I was joking before about only hoping Melania and Hope get better. I really do wish Donald and the rest of them well from a health perspective. But, if he gets too sick to run maybe there will be an actual conservative candidate who will jump in last minute and steer the party back on course. I’d love to have a conservative who I could vote for again.

Depending on how sick Trump gets,. there will be an election where 90% of people are not voting for the person on the ballot…
If he dies I think most of his supporters will still write him in.
But I do believe that pence will become the nominee and will choose a running mate.
Well if I have interpreted correctly the CDC chart on CFR broken down by age group then Trump being in the 70 + age bracket has a 1/20 chance or 5 % of succumbing to the virus.
But considering he has access to the best health care and physicians you could want and considering he is of a strong robust stock well I am sure he will be just fine.

He also found out via test, not going to the hospital for lung problems. I am guessing a lot of the 1/20 chances are based on people who came in due to symptoms (they are the ones with bad cases of corona).
