Imagine a Fauci tell-all book . Oh man!
Meh it would just be another stack in the pile of “I worked with Trump and he’s insane.”
Well, as far as nefarious behavior I should be way down on your list. Right now there are thousands of people gathering on the streets every day violating every precaution, who then go home to their communities and bring their funk with them.
So when you have solved that problem and I am the remaining one, you consider ‘not following the rules’, then you can come after me.
If riots and protesting are allowed, I can go to the gym, go to church and eat dinner at a restaurant. All of which are allowed by the law.
Yeah, unless you invoke emergency powers granted by the Constitution, you cannot make states do what you want. I am not for ‘Federal Mandates’ that opens a scary door to all kinds of abuses, so the restraint was warranted.
What was available were the CDC guidelines that the Feds encouraged be followed by the states. Most followed them, so went way over board (Michigan).
The lock downs are a temporary solution. Corona isn’t going any where.
The most important fact, though, is that is far less dangerous than originally touted.
Of all the stupid things you’ve ever blurped out of that silly cum catcher or yours, this is by far the dumbest.
As I already said many times, I wear a mask when appropriate. I also practice good hygiene and keep my distance, two things more effective than a surgical mask. I am not out to endanger anybody, I am practicing common sense.
Further, I am not out to signal how virtuous I am by wearing a mask in my own car with the windows closed.
What color skirt do you squat in?
Fair enough, I just don’t think someone’s steroid use should be of much concern to anybody else. Personal choices.
So you recognize it’s an issue that doesn’t end at your nose? It doesn’t stop at property lines or state borders? It’s more of a national general welfare and common good situation?
Of course. I wasn’t debating the need for a mild inconvenience. I was expounding on the evidence suggests that for healthy people in the midst of health people the mask is useless. That the mask only helps prevent transmission from actively sick people to healthy people and that asymptomatic spread is while still possible, is much less than an active case spread.
Further, that an aerosoled virus particle will not be stopped by most masks that are lesser than N95 versions.
The efficacy of the mask is to stop droplets of sick people from getting to healthy people.
The mask debate heated up when it was though that asymptomatic people are just as contagious as symptomatic people and that the virus easily spreads airborne. Since those 2 things have been proven not to be as big a threat as originally thought, mask efficacy is not that high.
At this time, there is no evidence that masks alone will stop anything. Its a ‘better safe than sorry’ motif, which I am ok with as long as people do not get militant and insane about it.
So masks are part of, though not solely, what can help mitigate transmission and deaths. And by the very nature of being an infectious agent the coronavirus is not contained to the individual. “My body, my choice. I’ll live with whatever consequences.” It isn’t a my choice, my consequence matter. Nobody should be “militant and insane.” Spontaneous and violent enforcement isn’t wise. Neither is thoughtless refusal to wear a cloth over your face in the grocery store when some of our loved ones are decked out in PPE, scrubbing their hands over and over after each patient, to help keep the public’s teeth from rotting out of their head. Only to hear the patient whine and complain they were made to wear a mask from the car into the operatory. While they, the clinician, who has had a mask on the vast majority of their working day has a child at home who already has to use a nebulizer (sp?) at times to deal with respiratory issues. And whose other loved one doesn’t have the immune system supporting organ called a spleen, has engorged blood vessels in his esophagus (imagine violent coughing with that combo), and an elderly diabetic grandfather she hasn’t dared to even hug in months.
…But mah freedom!!!
Uggghhh! So sick and tired hearing that when it’s tied to an issue like this. And in Florida, I’m hearing it way too damn often. And, look at the result of that. We’re a laughing stock.
Again, I am not an anti-masker. That’s just stupid. I wear a mask when I go out for the most part. I am just not akin to the ideology that masks are a cure for the spread of covid, or anything else for that matter. That’s all, it’s a nuanced position.
Of course, in this day and age, if you do not completely agree with leftist-woke ideology, you are demonized, maligned and even destroyed, even if you mostly agree, but disagree on the finer points.
Silly question. You requested naked for easier teabagging. Said you don’t thike the hem getting in your way.
How many people are you servicing now?
If Florida is a laughing stock, its more because if this, than anti-maskers:
Good news though, California is now the hotspot, it beat Florida.
Wait for the woke-spin, friend…it’s coming…
It’s not a silly question, it’s non-nonsensical. I know your trying for a zinger… Go nuts, your the one who is all emotional and offended. I wasn’t trying to hurt your little feelings. I will try to be gentler with you.
No, the record deaths while people party at beachs unmasked is. False positives and errors will always happen. Cripes we wouldn’t even have testing for anything if you went out of your way to broadly denounce it whenever you found screw-ups.
Well, cancer is a conspiracy. Had tests attributed to the wrong person here. A false positive there. Come on, Pat.
