I used to think the same thing, but they are merely the Lady Gaga’s and Coldplay’s of metal, but metal nonetheless. Commercial metal may be watered down bullshit, but it’s still heavier than typical top 40. On a side note, Slipknot’s last record was actually listenable. I know, I couldn’t believe it either.

Hard to name just one,My favourite album and artist is allways changing. one month im really into Behemoth and Deicide, then the next its only old shcool black like Hellhammer, Darkthrone, until its summer and all i wanna listen to is good old Thrash Metal like Death Angel, Razor, Overkill, Sadus.
Right now im Really into Manowar, and ever since i saw Death Angel at the Inferno Festival, im really enjoying Thrash like Razor, Overkill, Artillery, Gama Bomb, Tankard, etc…
