this thread has got me into at least 10 bands i would never have heard of otherwise, thanks guys!

Napalm Death - Twist the Knife (Slowly)… listening to this album right now for the first time (Fear Emptiness and Despair)… it’s a mix of Death and Grindcore… it’s really fucking good.

That shit is funny.

I’ve had this song in my head for days now.

This is a great line to sing to kids, spouses and colleagues: “Which ONE of THESE words – don’t you understand…?”

Metal (and squats) help diffuse all that anger built from life experience.[/quote]

Meh…I love ya SD, but sitting by the pool with a bottle of tequila and She Say in a bikini takes away any inkling of anger I might have better than Bleeding Crypt Defiler and His Melodic Maggot’s latest single ever could.

I hear ya.

Ditto with “Lady D”, but I’m a vodka man, m’self.

Seriously awesome album, along with Spreading the Disease.

I saw them twice in concert in the late 80’s and i’d say that they are one of my favorite bands to see live.

John Bush is back in the band, again.

Love this tune…

Finnish black metal band Behexen. All of their releases are solid, By The Blessing of Satan is my personal favorite.

This is from some time ago, but someone questioned why people enjoy gutteral / cookie monster vocals, or whatever you want to call 'em.

There’s no real way to answer it, because it’s a dumb question. Some people enjoy vocals that other’s don’t. Personally, I’d literally rather listen to someone vomiting than a lot of the power-metal / hair-metal stuff that’s been posted here.

A pure, passionate expression in any genre or style of music is ultimately what’s important, as far as I’m concerned.

I don’t think anyone has questioned ‘why’. Several people have said it’s not for them. No one needs to justify why they like something. It’s metal.

Yours in Metal,

Seriously about Bush?

I actually just looked it up. Bush didn’t really want to re-record the album or make a total committment so the new Anthrax vocalist is…Joe Belladonna.

Yeah. I saw Scott Ian being interviewed and he said that Bush played some shows with them and it was great. Everybody felt that it was the right time to be together again and possibly record again.

Maybe it was an older interview…

Where did you see this news?

I can’t remember the first website I saw it on, but it was also on Joe Belladonna’s website. It mentioned John Bush doing some tour dates with Anthrax but not wanting to make a solid committment to rejoin or re-record the album. So apparently they turned to the next logical solution…Neil Turbin…no, I mean Joe Belladonna. I’m just glad that got rid of that Dan Nelson. I heard a couple songs with him, and his vocals just didn’t seem to fit the Anthrax that has existed for nearly 30 years.

Just found this band from my friend: Audio Kollaps… kind of Grindcore/Death Metal, like Napalm Death’s FED album.
