What's Your Dream Gun?

It depends.

This list grows…

I know it’s kinda weird – a “tactical” lever action? But aren’t these customs pretty?

I think these Krieghoffs are pretty too.

I’d love an 1891 Mosin Nagant rifle

It’s the model Lyudmilia Pavlichenko used

I have always wanted an M1 Garand.

You may as well go full on Greatest Generation and get yourself a 1911.

Mine is Winchester model 12 shotgun

Pretty excited about Ruger acquiring Marlin. Good things to come I’m sure.

Holy crap, turns out an M1891 sells for $550-$750

I’d never go shoot, but ngl, this does seem like a tempting buy in a couple of years when I have disposable income.

You should’ve seen the prices about 10 years ago.

Well, I mean… I was kind of surprised they’re still being manufactured

My buddy uses one to deer hunt. I think he got it as surplus for like $90 about 20 years ago.

A Zastava M91 is a far better and more modern weapon based off the same platform. I do agree though that having an original Druganov would be badass. I had a chance to buy one, but I couldn’t justify the price at the time with the other things I wanted.

The Zastava M91 runs a little over $3K.

I’ve heard the M91s have accuracy issues. But with Comblock stuff the question is, is the accuracy limitation due to the gun or the ammo?

With the .308 Vepr I owned 12 years ago, I tried several US brands, and came to the conclusion that the gun itself was the problem. So I sold it and bought a James River Armory (now Bula Defense) M14, which was a tack driver. Ironically, last I looked the Vepr was worth more than the M14.

I have heard the exact opposite and my experience has been the opposite too. It has been accurate for me. I was staying 1.25-1.5MOA at 1,000 yards.

I was using brass PPU ammo though.

The rifle is extremely well made - far better than my Romanian PSL.

The threads on my barrel were perfectly concentric as was the the barrel on mine.

I have a Henry X Model in 44 magnum with the ranger point rails on it.

Lever guns are just sexy.

Lever guns are my favorite for hunting, plinking, most things.
I have a .22 Henry is pretty dang accurate given the ammo.

I might be thinking of the Romanian PSL. I was seriously looking at one or the other of them 10 or 12 years ago when they were around a grand.

Yeah the Zastava M91 didn’t start being imported until 2019 when Zastava created Zastava USA and stopped using Century for importation.
