Matty, I, as usual, am late to your parties. It’s too hard to keep up with your logs because every day there’s three more pages of stuff. Sucks to be the popular guy in class!
Ya’know after ragging on your about flexing on your deadlift, I think I see what you’re saying. That really is just the natural angle of your arm, incredibly… which when i think of the moster bodybuilders is what tends to happen to dudes with the huge bis.
I guess you the pipes are getting in your way… tough life.

DJ and dday- I feel good sore today if you know what I mean, I would have rather done the “harder conditioning” on Saturday because today is a usual squat day, we will see how it goes. The swings made my back a little wonky yesterday, maybe I was overdoing the hip drive?
I was starting to think the third day of heavy weight training will eventually hurt me in the long run and I was basically spinning my wheels. So Im making it a point of at least one day of 2-4 miles SS cardio for recovery and one day of conditioning and light KB work for well umm conditioning!
Now in two weeks I will start my advance version of 5x5 which Im looking forward too. The sprints, KB work and SS cardio will remain. I enjoy walking with my dogs so just walking with them in the park is fun for me. It was actually exhilarating to run balls out too!
Overall I am starting to see the light about a good balance between the two. Plus there are some cool exercises I will try at home with the KBs…i.e. towel curlz, Get ups. floor presses with the KBs make it interesting.
Matt start with Skips first then gradually go into sprints.
With conditioning we set some Kbells apart and do series of lifts then skip to the next one and do a different series of lifts. <<<-----Awesome MetCon work in this. (Metabolic Conditioning)
Look @ Kbell gal’s log for more exercises to do.
Start with the conditioning on Tuesdays and Saturdays. You will like the results.

Yep thats exactly what I did, warmed up with skips and bit of jogging, the last thing I want was a pulled hammy or some shit like that. So you do almost KB stations? On tuesdays I have been doing just walking for about 3 miles, it seems to make my muscles feel better and I actually enjoy it. The weather has been cool but nice. I would much rather do my KB and sprints on Saturday but for the next few weeks it will have to be on sunday as I will be doing some traveling on fridays and Sats.
I think I am pretty happy with my set up with 3 weight training days, 1 day of sprints and light KB work and one day of SS cardio…does that look ok to you?

Thanks alot Kent, Im trying to get thick like you!
Squats felt very good today, went for a slight weight PR and I got it. But what is nicer for me, because of my previous struggles at the squat is the ease and familiarity Im now getting with some decent weight (for me) on the bar 365 felt very light and believe I could of hit a triple with it. 370 was a grinder my left knee started to cave a bit but I felt I had the depth.
Bench also was excellent today I felt I could of gotten one more up of the 320 but it would of been a real struggle and did not want to chance it. Overall I was pleased especially doing sprints for the first time EVER on sunday.
Congrats! Squats are coming brother.
Not to be “that” guy, but you might want to take an extra second or two at the top to get super tight before squatting.
Thanks Git! no your right, I was kinda in a groove and excited to get a PR, but I have slow my roll at times because I believe if I was tighter it would have been smoother.
