Lots of great lifting! WHOA on BW for OHP, that 5# is yours!
Great OHP and deads, Matty. Your OHP took a jump while I was away. Awesome!
Good pullin Bull. That shit be impressive!
Joe - I have been looking into it, since you started I read some about it and it seems like it may be my next template after my second meet…after the intermediate 5x5 is over Im going to do the advanced version.
Alex - Its ok not to understand, but ignorance and the scoffing nature of some is not. I do realize that I could be the problem sometimes as you when I train, I try to get angry, not outwardly but more of an inside fire (in my head I try to call myself a modicum of fucked up shit to get me angry) and it may spew out on other idiots at the gym. But I have made some friends at my gym they respect and we have general like for each other its the passer bys who consider wives tales law that need to be sent off to planet fitness.
SCJ - Hey I need some toys once in a while too.
Up - Thanks homey! I can feel that BW press, coming soon.
Strick - Im trying to get my OH Press to Strick status!
Print - Thanks man!
I aint doing jack shit today, not even going to work!

Nice work on the MP’s.
THANKS! Im trying BD!
Matty- where did you find the 5x5 template
I have seen some online but they are incomplete

don’t you tease me, matty. you know i don’t like that.
Loving the videos. Pulls and pressing look STRONG.
and regarding the elbows from last log, please tell me you at least ice post workout. even if it’s a lie. tell me you do.
Damn everything is going so well in here. So proud.
Solid pulling Matty. Yeah, your arms do indeed look like that’s as straight as they go. That’s a helpful reference point.
Like Fishcher said, run the base advanced template at least once just as is then mess with it. It’s interesting reading that link that I sent you. I think that’s the advanced program that you’re going to run and in one place they say not to run it cookie cutter and in another place they say to run it just as is. I guess that running it once as is will give you the idea of how you respond to it. I bet you could run something like it for a long time without having to switch up. About Smolov, I would think that you would want to do that before your next meet as it’s a peaking type of program. But that’s obviously just the thought of a novice.
Glad the neutral grip pull ups worked out for you. I definitely swear by them now.

Chk your email Kevin.
Kev - Here it is http://madcow.hostzi.com/5x5_Program/Periodized_5x5.htm....this will give you a full description and spreadsheet of all three programs.
Lula - Dont talk like that your making me all tingly L O L !!! I ice after every session…I swear!
Dday - Thanks bud, where’ve you been!?
James - Thanks bro. I read the same thing which lends me to believe that there is some leeway, he even mentions the aspect of adding volume or leaving it the way it is. While just doing the lifts will be very difficult for me I do plan on not lifting on a 4th day and turning that day into a conditioning/KB day.
I here you about Smolov, it is very intriguing, however Paul Carter’s Strong 15 is very enticing 10 weeks out of a meet…in his program he has you train for each opening, second and third attempts in 3 week minicycles.
I didnt go to work last night and proceeded to sleep from midnight - 2pm, 14 hours…I feel like a zombie…way too much. Going to train in a couple of hours hopefully I wont train like one…
PR on press again, 5 lbs from the big BW OH, nice!
Your cheering section in the 435 x 3 cracked me up, plus your ‘fuck it’ hand flip at the end of the vid. Lots of funny stuff in here besides the strong lifting, thanks for the laughs!

Been working all kinds of messed up hours. Between that, my wife and a 3 year old maniac I don’t have much time to surf. Hell, right now I’m waiting on a call back to find out if I have to go to work again tonight. Good thing I’m salary…FML ![]()
PG - Thanks bro, yeah that was some of my gym buddies in the back busting my balls and cheering me on.
Dday - Sounds rough bro, I hate being on call

Good sesh. 335x3 felt good probably could of gotten another one up. I was supposed to hit 325 for 3 but had nothing after the 2 stuck half way on the third attempt. My foray into sprinting this sunday, pray for me.
Nice squats!
are you going to wear a sergio tachini track suit?
your prayers have been answered…the Mayor has outlawed sprinting on Sunday! nice freakin work going on in here.
I remember way back when I saw Lou Ferrigno in a relay race. Holy %#*!, but that big man could run like a gazelle. I’m sure you’ll do fine.
Matty, have you done sprinting before? Just make sure you warm up and cool down. Guy in my office jacked his hamstring a year ago and he is still dealing with it. However, you are in much better condition that he is.
