What's up with it Vanilla Face?

haha! omg, the music kills me. i love it.

up, you know me too well. TAKE IT OFF MATTY

Yeah it had kind of follies O PLing motif to it so I went with it and it gets me PSYCHED!

Wow guys I never knew that man ass gives the illusion of better depth Ill try to go commando next time…but I do think its still about 3-4 inches high//

there’s commando squatting in this thread?

sign me up!

High. Camera angle should also be lower and inline with your hips to see better.

I fucking dare you to squat with a thong over singlet…

LOL, if I get a garage gym goin on Ill at least go banana hammock on my squats! I agree rick definitely high possibly another 4 - 6 inches.

Well today I kinda did a high volume low intensity kinda thingy and it went like this…

A1 - Javelin Press - Bar/10,12,15 +10 - 10,10
A2 - Front Plate Raise - 1plt/10,10 2plt - 10, 10, 10
A3 - HLR 4x10

B1 - BB Shrug 135/20 315/15,15 405
B2 - Reverse Grip OH 135/ 10,12 155/ 10,10

C1 - Tri Ladder 5x10
C2 - Weighted Pushup 45x15 90x10x10

WG Pullups - 3x8
Supinated Chins - 25/8 45/5 0/10

HS Low Row - 1plt/20 2plt/20 3plt/10,10

CG Incline Press against bands - 135x3x12

Basketball

not bad

Matty- How did you like the Reverse Grip OHP- based on the high reps they must have gone pretty well.

Dave I definitely liked them seems like they give my shoulders a break the same way reverse grip bench does.

Well it seems as if my body is failing me at the worst possible time…

While playing softball earlier this morning I pegged a throw to attempt to catch a runner at third, as I threw it ( I was catching) I threw across my body and as I did I felt a pop in my oblique…this isn’t good, I’m sneezing a lot because of allergies and I see stars when this happened…

I couldn’t swing a bat so I went home, stopped by the gym to see what discomfort I can come to expect while pressing…

With OH press I was fine, did 225 for a couple of triples, and benched 315 for a double and it didn’t hurt. However Chins hurt like hell, any type of row was uncomfortable as well, getting up from the bench was a real chore as any flexing of the abs in horizontal and stretched position seems to aggravate my latest ache and pain.

While I did hear a pop, I don’t think I would be able to press or breathe as well as I am if it were torn or broken…so I iced it and took a few NSAIDs and hope for recovery for Tuesday…

This is what happens when I don’t warm up for even the most pedestrian of sports such as softball…

I’m playing in a 50 and over leauge. We are half way through the season and the teams are all beat to hell.

Pulled hammies, bad ribs, shoulders and calf injuries. You are almost embarassed to tell someone you got

hurt playing softball, but these guys play hard, and most aren’t in the shape you are in.

Matty!! What’s up big man? Hope your back in action soon. Your meet is in a couple of weeks right?

Grey - Yeah man, we actually played an older team yesterday and we split with em. One guy had to be hovering at about 50-55 years and still ran like a gazelle, they played hard and could really hit.

Austin - yeah bud, June 3 and of course aches and pains, but no fucking excuses!

Ok so my abs are sore, but no bruising and no extreme pain, certain movements are giving me pain…but I am hopeful this is just a minor setback

Was home today but had the itch to lift something so I dusted off the KB’s you know the ones I said I will use every week and sprint…YEAH well anyway its been about a month since I used these but this came in handy. Id like to say I will use these more often, but honestly Id rather be in the gym lifting barbells, so I will say I will use these a little more often lol.

All movements using KBs are 40lbs since thats all my adjustables go up to

Band pullaparts thumbs in thumbs out 4x15

KB Towel Curl - 4x15

KB UR Row - 4x20

KB Floor Press - 4x20 (single arm)

KB Pullovers - 4x20

KB Floor Tri ext - 4x10 (single arm)

KB Swings - 3x10

KB Rows - 3x20

KB Leaning lat raise - 2x12

Took about 35 minutes and I was able to scratch the itch…

Hope the ab issue passes quickly or at least stays out of the way.

adjustable Kbs? fancy pants, aye? well excuuuuuuuse me!

Thanks Strick…just a little bump in the road…

Oh hell yeas Lula, im all about the fancy…I gots me a soloflex and a thighmaster and a gazelle all the top notch equipmentzzz

Last week of Paul Carters Strong 15…after this week I will be just greasing the groove, possibly openers next week but thats about it.

SQUAT - 135/5 205/5 235/4 275/3 305/3 325/2 355/1 380/fail 380/1 325/3

CGBP - 135/15 185/12 225/10 245/10 275/5

A1)TBARS - 2PLT/20 3PLT/15 4PLT/10
A2)CHINS - 0/10 25/5 45/5

Squats felt ok, abs held up well until the 380 where I felt a pull in the middle of the ascent got nervous and dumped it. Decided not to be a load rag and did it again and it was slightly uncomfortable but all in all ok.

Im realizing that different grips when doing rows lessen the pain of the tendinitis. I did a close pronated grips on the tbars and I felt no pain, I know most people say old school tbars are better, however I dont see why espescially when I can get better ROM with the ā€œnew schoolā€ tbars

Nice work, Matty! Glad to hear that the abs weren’t too much of an issue.

Thanks Strick, yeah not too bad…Im trying not to give it too much thought as I can be a bit of a hypocondriac

I agree whichever way you can do the rows without pain is the right way to go. Glad to hear the ab problem is under control.
