You look like a guy I used to know. You wear sexier clothes though.

Fyi Matty, the author who famously got every one on TN talking about squatting every day just had his star pupil suspended for 2 years due to hgh use. No judgment about that on my part, just wanted to mention it. Iow, deload.[/quote]

punnyguy Im not sure I know what you are talking about.

Seriously considering taking the foundation classes so I can train there as they have a ghr a ghd and bumperplates

I played gi for years- then no gi .

cf- did you rip your shirt off- halfway thru?

WTF is this crossfit shit doing in here???

Hahaha…sorry, had to put the standard response in here. Do you think that CF can be used as some sort of active recovery? I definitely agree with you in regards to their equipment as it would be fantastic to have bumper plates and a GHR.

Yep. In my humble .02, PLers following that advice is like OLers gearing their squats to PL geared squat techniques. (puns intended, of course)

Ha ha I know right!

I think your spot on CF can be used as active recovery however calling it that may not be giving it enough credit alot of is very intense. For our purposes however doing one of their WODs 3-4 times a month IMO would help much more than hurt. However my main reason in taking their foundations would be able to use their facility as I really believe you can do their style of workouts anywhere…

Stopping by after a long hiatus…regarding the weight drop…hmmm…do you think this may be due to a lack of carbs?

I understand and don’t have any experience with contest prep but to me your strength is already established.

I think you can back off a bit and get healthy and likely do better than pushing on all out and having to go into the meet fighting a lot of nagging injuries. Just my thoughts which may not be worth much as I’m still at least several months away from my first meet and not really sure how I’m going to structure my meet prep.

100% agree with you and I appreciate you reminding me of this, while I am following a program for the next 5 weeks I will be cutting out alot of the fluff that may be the culprit of my pain…

That’s stellar work. How do the chins treat your bicep?

james

Good luck with pulling all this together for your meet. Injuries suck.
