7am Softball. In February. In NYC. Yeah, you guys are nuts…

I’m starting to get the tendinitis in my left elbow now. Have had it in my right elbow for close to 8 months. MSM and Fish Oil seems to help but it doesn’t seem to want to go away. Hammer Curls or Reverse Grip Curls are the most aggravating factor.

PS: My summer ball teams have started indoor ‘spring training’. Haven’t thrown a ball since October and I’m significantly stronger so I felt pretty Tebow-ish playing catch.
You playing flag football?
No. Baseball but the Tebow reference is in relation to the fact I can’t seem to throw properly anymore.

We also play on concrete, if you could believe its a much better surface then the shit grass fields we would have to play in Brooklyn and Queens if we played on grass.

I know what you mean Todd, I picked up a bat and a ball for the first time yesterday it was awful, I felt like I was throwing left handed and Im a righty.

I realized today that I have been squatting every training day for so long that it feels wrong NOT to squat so I says to myself…“self, tears in a bucket fuck it! just stop your bitching and squat.”

SQUAT - 135/5 185/5 225/5 275/5 315/5

3/5/1

OH PRESS DAY

OH PRESS - 170/3 190/3 215/3+2(5) 155/10 225/1,1
SEATED DB OH PRESS - 70/10 90/10 100/7 80/10,10

A1) FACE PULL - STACKX3X15
A2) DB LATERALS - 45X2X10 25X1X25

TRI PD - STACK/15 +25/15,15

Swoleski.

That’s the spirit Matty!

james

Yeah bro, Ive become so accustomed to squatting every session it didnt feel complete w/o it, there will be some variation of the squat every session with the 5/3/1

nice squats broski

sorry to call you Marty.

and can you believe I cant play softball, football, stick ball
ok I can play handball and as a little kid could throw 'sewer to sewer

but if is a sport with props I cant do it.

ps muscle ups=tendonitis.

I used to sprint and do dips and pullups down on the FDR drive at houstan
there is a outdoor track and little park with jungle gym stuff

met some crazy kids who could do pull up tricks-
got good at them and got me some prime time elbow pain

Im sure it does but I just want to be able to do it, all those 140lb show offs at my gym…Ill show them!

I think its hilarious when you call me Marty dude.

its the fucking iphone and my thumb I cut off and put back on
makes typing on it fun

you can peep the bartender types on youtube- and see them on the LES and in harlem

Da Bartendaz are getting Hyooge arent they in Cahoots with like P90X or some shit now?

Oh and Im now changing my screen name to MartyXL

I had that elbow thing too…I took a month off of doing the things that made it hurt. It sucked but it’s gone now.
I can still feel it wanting to creep on though… grr

Hey Matty,

We need to adjust meet plans. I just heard from the meet director that the May 19th USAPL meet is cancelled.

The good news is there’s a WNPF meet June 3rd in New Rochelle. I’m still in if you are, I need to get back on the platform.

WNPF New York State Powerlifting Championships & WNPF Raw Nationals- New Rochelle, NY

Good idea HARA, get back on the horse.

Solid work. What you weighin in at these days big guy? Have you hit a bodyweight OHP before, and if not, do you want to race?

My PR is 200lbs on OHP and I’m currently at 215lb so that might be a bit much.

You have me by a bit on DL I think, but I am going hard for a 500 pull by the end of March. What say you?

Bet lets do it!

Ha, I can’t even imagine a 500 lbs anything.

DL - 345/3 385/3 435/3 455/1

FRONT SQUAT - 135/5 185/5 225/5

BO ROW - 135/12 185/10 205/10 225/7

BB SHRUGS - 225/20 315/20 405/12,10

TATE PRESS - 35/20 50/10,10 40/20

WEIGHTED NG CHINS - 25/5,5 45/5 0/5 (20)

nice pulling- and front squats

New Rochelle- shit that is where I live now- I could walk to this meet.

I could probably squat 400 + , and pull 500 for this meet in June
but shit I probably cant bench 225.
damn this meet is right up the street
