4x bodyweight is pretty good… anything less is pretty weak

COOL!!! so I should be shooting for a 1272 lb deadlift! would this be a 1RM, or for 10 reps?[/quote]

5 reps

HA!! no problem!!.. ok, while I was typing that I was doing a full Hee-Man flex… and pulled a trap, 16 lbs of fat, and my AB. minor setback though, …ouch… I’ll be alright.

2X bodyweight is great in comparison to normal people. 2.5X bodyweight shows that you’ve done a good amount of serious training or that you’ve got great genes. 3X bodyweight is a great lift for a powerlifter.

I think if you could pull 315 at 135 bodyweight we could agree that you’ve got a good deadlift for your age.

It also depends on how old you are. If you’re in your mid-teens and you’re 135 then you’re doing good. If you’re 20 and you’re still 135lbs you’re not doing so hot.

Any deadlift is a good deaflift… as long as you are progressing. If you can deadlift 135lbs on month and next month you deadlift 150 then 150 is a good deadlift for you…

In my eyes every man should be capable of a dead lift twice or close to twice their bodyweight. According to my gym though, most men can cable pressdown more than they can deadlift.

Posted in the wrong forum my bad. I guess you could say franco’s lower back was developed by good deadlifting.

Well I deadlift 315 x 1 and I weight around 155!

I’m weighing in at 230 and just got my PR of 1 x 470
