I don’t take weeks off unless I have a planned vacation (and even then I normally do some small amount of training).
The least that I’ve trained unless I was in the hospital was twice during a week.
When one of my clients is forced to go away for a week or two and cannot train (I have one who went away for work and couldn’t train) then the week before the week off I increase the training volume by about 50% so that the week off is spent surcompensating instead of detraining.
Why ? When i take a week off after long time training when i come back, my muscle grow faster and my 1 rep max always get up to 10 lbs or more the week after.
I say that because i always tought that it was benefics

You don’t have to completely stop to have all the benefits of a deload… in fact simply reducing frequency and volume while maintaining intensity is enough to surcompensate. But if it works for you, all the best.
Alright thanks you ![]()
