What Would You Have Done?

  1. If you had stepped in, you would have probably been attacked by all aboriginies in the area. They wouldn’t see it as you breaking up a fight; they would have seen it as one white guy fighting two black chicks.

  2. It’s security’s job to break up that shit, not yours.

  3. Don’t disgrace an ANZAC day service by getting caught up in that shit.

Anyway, that shit is part of everyday hobbo life.

I’ve just recently moved to Melbourne from NZ and after being here for 3 weeks i’ve seen a LOT of hobo v.s hobo, redneck v.s redneck, redneck v.s hobo shit happen. And it’s always around the tram and train stations. Is melbourne usually like this or does it just depend where you live?

Wow, didn’t know you guys had rednecks down under. Is that what you call them there?

This is a classic case of bystander apathy.

-many people don’t wan’t to get involved

-lack of involvement increases as the number of people involved increases.

-Diffusion of responsiblity> dimished sense of personal responsibility to act because others are seen as equally responsible.

Sorry for the psychology, its my major.

People from Queensland and the Northern Territory are generally considered to be rednecks.
