What to Eat During Break.

I have been training hard for the past 12 weeks. I am starting to feel fatigued in the gym and the joints just aren’t feeling like they should, so I am gonna stop doing lifts for about a week (depending on how my body feels) and just occupy my time with some good cardio from cycling and swimming. Basically, I am taking it easy for awhile.

I am going to gather all my nutrients from whole food sources aside from two scoops of protein a day - one when I wake in my oatmeal, and one quick one mixed with water right before bed.

My question is this: should I stop using Creatine? I have been using the Gaspari SizeOn for about a month and it is great, but if I am not gonna be working out should I skip this supplement and start again when I start to lift again?

Another questions: Would it be advantageous to consume ~20 gms BCAA’s for long cycling maybe once a day?

Creatine is not exclusive to weightlifting; it has a plethora of other benefits that can help you during your week off recovering.

Ugh, I’ve never looked completely into BCAA’s as much as I should have in Biochemistry, so I’ll just redirect this question to…Here:

Great article. I know a few people on here swear by them and I am in the financial position to try them out at high doses right now, so my attitude is “why not?”

Noted about the creatine - I will continue to use it.

I was thinking of cutting calories, but I don’t think I am going to change much. I am just gonna keep eating big and see what happens over this week. I think I might even indulge in some good carbs to try and stack a little poundage on for when I go back to lifting.
