What to Do About Balding?

Alright so last year I pretty much had very thick hair, and a full head of it…it grew fast all the time…but now…for the last year it is thinning out tremendously, the one side is getting less and less hair…the top/back of my head is thinning out A LOT, and I am pretty much starting to develop my baldness…

How the hell could this happen? I did change shampoo to Gillette…I don’t know if that has anything to do with it…but yeah not even a full year really…more like 8 months it’s just out of nowhere…Now I’m only 20 years old so this seems quite odd to me. I’ve had my head shaved before it’s not too big of a deal…but I was more geared towards going with some hair on my head without looking like I have the head of a 35 year old lol.

Is there anyway to help this/fix it…I just can’t believe less than a year ago I had such thick hair only to find it all falling out now…

Thanks.

Dad or grandpa bald prematurely? Your mothers father? Your shampoo is def not making you bald. Any new supplements?

Runs fingers through his amazing hair. what was this thread about again?

jk, Id think you are balding, check with your dad to see if it is hereditary. Shaved head look is popular, just remember you are part of the special forces and feel unappreciated for your many sacrifices but sex would be a nice gesture of thanks. Gona get laid!

lawl.

lol wat?

Rast balding also has to do with high test levels, if I were you I’d keep doing what I’m doing but shave my head. It’ll look badass.

Hey what’s wrong with having the head of a 35 year-old? I had one 2 years ago!

i will be bald at some point in the next couple years. Despite my avatar, i do have hair now but i will for sure shave it when my hair recedes a little more.

chicks did the bald head anyways. If i was more jacked I would shave my head tomorrow. Bald + jacked dude (CT) = ladies love

My hair started to recede a bit on the sides in the front when I was 32…now I’m 43 and it’s still very minor. It just depends on the person - it’s hereditary (barring any outside factors like extreme stress or other illness) so besides taking Propecia or using Rogaine (neither of which works all that well) you’ll just have to live with it.

These guys are right though - if you’re completely bricked you can be bald as an eagle and still drown in pussy!!

I have a hairline like that dork Sting. But it’s long and not very obvious.

Rasturai, dude, you’ve got a rugged physique. Being bald looks badass with that type of look.
Maybe just embrace it?

Polo paging Polo. Didnt we answer this before? Get big as fuck, grow facial hair and SHAVE your head. Just my two cents.

There was a huge thread on this topic a couple weeks ago, try searching for it.

Shaved Head FTW.

I was under the impression that baldness is hereditary not from your father but your mother. The girl that cuts my hair said this to me last week as a matter of fact. It sounds stupid but I’ve heard this for before.

Yes it is a recessive gene carried on the maternal side of the family. Like was said above if your mothers father or grandfather (her mothers side) are bald. You carry the trait.

Just shave it. I started balding in high school (before I managed to grow my hair properly long, damned genes!). Right now (at 24) my hairline starts at the top of my skull. It looks good as long as I keep it short.

Most people won’t even pay attention to it, unless you let it grow long enough to look like Nicholas Cage, or even worse grow a proper skullet. It’s pretty annoying at first, especially if you like your hair, but it’s just one of those things you can’t really do much about.

Pretty much anything I’ve tried over the last couple of years only made my remaining hair thicker and maybe slowed down the process a little bit, but I never managed to stop it completely. I’ve heard of things like using a lot of Nizoral shampoo very frequently but have never tried it and at this point I pretty much don’t care anymore. You might want to give it a try, but I can’t vouch for it.

Well, I’ve never met my mother’s grandfather, but my grandfather (on my mother’s side) still has a full head of hair with only slight recession. About as much as I had at 19. Me and my brother are following the exact same balding pattern our dad did.

As for the recessive part - if I remember genetics correctly recessive means that you have to get that version of the gene from both parents, otherwise the dominant gene version from one parent will, well, dominate. So if it’s a recessive trait you need to get it from both parents.

i agree /w the high test. perhaps you were a last bloomer and your test levels started to increase as you matured at the tender age of 20???

more test - more muscle = jacked.
so who really cares if your balding.

btw just a question: how tall are you?

This, OP. this

Fucking embrace it, look for chicks that dig it and get fucking heyoooge.

Works for me~

Stop saying his natural test levels are causing him to bald, that’s just stupid.

OP, you can look into DHT blockers. You can either use a DHT blocker shampoo or acquire the actual drug if you are so inclined. I’ve seen these be very effective, some completely reverse the effects of balding with continual use. Of course it reverts back to it’s natural state if you were to stop.

I use the costco brand of Rogaine to keep my hair where it is. A few years ago my bald spot showed up and my hair thinned out. I was pretty upset about it becayse my hair was always thick and curly. Using the rogaine hasn’t filled my hair back in, but it’s definitely slowed down the balding process.

I’ve heard the high test before, I can defianetly say I haven’t had much of a problem of ever putting on muscle or anything - chuckaboo86 I am 5’9…the most weight I’ve been is 218 and definately lean…but am down a bit lower in the 200’s still because I want to become a champion in boxing. (have to stay in 200’s for amateur heavyweight)

both my parents are in their 40’s and they have a headfull of hair…my dad is 46 now and is slightly having a bit less hair but that’s it he’s always had a lot of hair. So yeah no1 in my family started balding prematurely I don’t think.

Thanks for the compliment Iron Dwarf “rugged physqiue” haha

Aside from that it might look badass but that’s not technically the look I’m going for…my dad says it looks ugly cause “you look like a criminal” and my girlfriend says…it’s hot, but you do look like a criminal.

Sickabs - no new supplements either…I WAS taking zinc though, and I heard a lot of zinc can make one lose hair…So obviosuly I have stopped that business.

So I’m guessing there is no magic shampoo, supplement to reverse the situation? lol

You can try a comb over.
