What Matters More: Short-Term or Long-Term?

the periods of time when you hit your peak condition for short flare ups?
or your long term gym performance?

long term. I’m a OL weightlifter, I’d rather keep training normally during competitions if that will give me better lifts in the long run.

I don’t see the difference between the two. One is the means to the “end”. That is honestly how I see it and I can’t differentiate between the two anymore.

Long term IMO. What’s the point of being able to squat 500 lbs tomorrow if it means I’ll in a wheelchair 5 years from now?

Keep thinking.

Long term. Getting strong and jacked takes time. And if you set yourself back due to an injury, it’s going to take even longer. If you’re not in this for the long haul, don’t bother.
