would it be better to eat some oatmeal with my post workout shake than spinach? i know green veggies dont count toward daily carb count but they are still carbs. which would yield better muscle building?
gonna start taking that popeye berry shake for breakfast. should i alternate carbs and spinach on workout/non workout days?

The best carbs post workout? Read up on Surge in the T-Nation store on this site. You should use it but even if you don’t reading the article will give you a better understanding of carbs, protein, and post workout recovery.
Try to go with something high GI during/right after, and something slower about 60-90 mins after that. Right after I usually go ‘milk w/ whey’ or dextrose/malto mix with whey. Then for the PWO meal a sweet potato and meat or quinoa and meat, or oats and cottage cheese.
Oatmeal or spinach POst workout?! They’re both poor choices. PIck something that actually has some sugar in it. Spinach has none, and oatmeal has 0-1g (maybe). Post training is the only time you really want the ‘bad’ carbs -lol I opt for a poptart with my whey shake.
