Legumes and whole grain bread.
oatmeal, whole wheat bread, brown rice, white rice(post workout), nonfat milk, yogurt, whole wheat pasta, uhhh that’s about it.
oatmeal, sprouted wheat bread with various seeds in it, beans, brown rice, broccoli
Quinoa- a high protein grain. Also brown rice, potatoes, whole grain bread.
Oatmeal, brown rice. Of coarse low density carbs like fruits and veggies. (the more fibrous the better)
Beans, lots and lots of beans; mostly kidney beans, black beans, and pintos. Winter Squash when available; butternut, acorn, and spaghetti squash. Summer squash is a good source as well I just don’t like them as much. Yams when available. Veggies like mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes and of course corn. My wife is allergic to ALL grains including rice, so I had to learn a whole new way of getting carbs.
Captain Crunch cereal and Little Debbie Oatmeal pies…Oh, I mean all green vegetables except peas, oatmeal, and my most favorite Surge.
Apples, pears, and raisin bran.
what brand of whole grain bread??? Hard to find in the market i go to.
I just wrote an article about this. Wild rice

Try some from the “Food for Life” brand. They have some quality sprouted bread.
As for carbs, pretty much what everyone mentioned. Brown rice, oatmeal, yams, veggies, fruits, beans.

Little debbie oatmeal pies? YUM! anyways, my girlfriend and I have debated this: Between these two, what’s the better bread? Whole wheat or Multi-grain. Also, how does one know if a wheat pasta is a “whole” wheat pasta? unlike bread were the lable actually says “whole wheat flour” my “whole wheat blend pasta” has wheat bran, wheat fiber, wheat germ listed as ingrediants. Are those the missing ingrediants from white bread and therefore make it “whole wheat”?
The bread I have is “Trader Joe’s Sprouted Multi-Grain Bread: Made with Organic High Protein Sprouted Wheat Berries, Rye Flakes, & Flax Seeds”
Ingredients: Organic High Protein Sprouted Wheat Berries, Filtered Water, Organic Grain Mixture (Consisting of Millet, Rye Flakes, Corn Meal, Rolled Oats, Cracked Wheat, Flax Seeds, Sunflower Seeds), Pure Honey, Unsulphured Molasses, Wheat Gluten, Sea Salt, Fresh Yeast, Soy Lecithin
It’s yummy.
lentils - I add chicken, onions, peppers, passata, peas, mushrooms and lots of spices… a real heart warming stew for the oncoming English winter!
