Hello,
Sorry for bothering you guys, but I was just wondering if there was a specific name for the first exercise in this video, and for the equipment used?
I thought it looked like a pretty great deadlift variation to try.
Thanks for your time!

Awesome, thanks!
Is it ever done without the stairs, just as a more standard deadlift variation?
I’ve always heard them called potato sack deads. I use them once in awhile with female clients, with a DB set up on it’s end, and two step platforms, on either side, so they can get better range of motion, really hits they’re butt, and inner thigh. If you had a set up with enough weight. It would/could be a good exercise for strong man/Pling. Hope this helps. Latter

There’s the duck walk, where you have to carry it, but I’ve never heard of a straight deadlift-style event with them.
Ignoring the varying handle height, it’s equivalent to a kettlebell deadlift. The only difference is that it’s not easy to find a kettlebell that heavy.
