What, In your Opinion, Is the Future of TRT? And When Do You Think it Will be Introduced?

Personally, I think it will be a safer non-aromatizing alternative to HCG that will disregard fertility issues, and allow for a more natural libido and erectile function.

Using something like stem cells to repair or grow a whole new endocrine system

In the next 5 to 10 years:
For men wishing to preserve fertility possibly something like enclomiphene if it’s finally approved (in development by Androxal but they screwed up their clinical development program). Or just clomiphene if even more data on long term safety and efficacy will become available.

Maybe a long acting form of recombinant LH. But I doubt this as with urinary hCG a very cost efficient alternative is already available. This would be more driven by the demands in the area of assisted reproduction.

For the rest T undecanoate once weekly or once biweekly using an autoinjector.

Drug development is a slooow process. And as with T esters, hCG and clomiphene already well established and cost efficient therapies are available there is little incentive for drug companies to invest in this area.

We would need guys like Elon Musk in pharma to go into the field of stem cell therapy for conditions like hypopituitarism associated with low T.

The future of TRT is an injectable cocktail which stimulates the pituitary gland, actually something like this already exists but has some side effects and is expensive. There have been members on T-Nation who have tried it and did very well on it.

The future of TRT may in fact be oral testosterone, Mark Gordon is on it and it absorbs into your tissues immediately and is undetectable in lab testing, you must test tissue concentrations to determine levels. You can’t get it from big pharma, compounding pharmacies only.

Oral testosterone

Another version of TRT is a chip implanted in your hip just underneath the skin which releases testosterone in a predetermined timed fashion.

I’d be interested to know more about the injectable cocktail. I does sound promising. Any commercial name yet? Do you have a link to a thread where one of the members tried it?

Also the oral form of testosterone does sound convenient and hopefully it will get released soon. In the video Dr. Gordon mentioned that it doesn’t effect the liver since it metabolizes very quickly.
