What if Everyone Ate Meat?

Not if we use soccer players and lawyers as our primary source of protein.

I find that soccer players are a bit gamey and that lawyers are unpalatable in the way 2 week old Mackerel is.

Now golfers… Mmmmmm, grass walked goodness. Also, bowlers are nice and marbled and have a subtle smokey ‘beer’ flavor.

Um, I don’t think bowlers would count as ‘organic’…if organic is based partially on what the livestock eats.

I doubt cheese fries and PBR is readily available on the range.

If everyone ate meat then my favourite type of porn would not exist.

Such a situation is unthinkable.

it is not environmentally feasible and the majority of people could not afford to do it. people with not as much money tend to eat carbs and lots of them because bread is cheap and meat and vegetables are not. [/quote]

This is pretty much what I’ve seen in low-carb books on the subject…that the ability to adhere to the high protein diet of animal proteins costs too much for a lot of the economies of the world. Carbs/grains are easier to store, grow, and transport.

Proteins have historically been a bit of a luxury.
