I’ve been doing TRT for two months. I have a months worth of clomid saved. If I start taking it, will balls regain size?
One would think no, at least in theory. I’ve had a handful of guys over the years that wanted to use clomid with TRT, hardly a significant amount of experience. I don’t recommend it, but they either had used it before and liked the way they felt or simply wanted to try it.
Out of curiosity, I ran subsequent FSH/LH labs on them and to my surprise, a couple showed a slight increase. They went from below range suppressed to barely above the bottom of the range, 2 something if I recall. So, it appears it can be slightly beneficial.
I remember one stated his testicular size was fine, but he also admitted he did not notice much atrophy with TRT, though he still felt the clomid improved it.
I think most would prefer hCG for testicular atrophy, if using testosterone.
Clomid together with TRT won’t do anything for testicular size.
From what I’ve seen, no. Using a SERM while on TRT got popular when clinics could no longer source cheap HCG to sell to their patients. Anytime someone post about using TRT+SERM I ask for their LH/FSH values and/or sperm test. Very few actually check to see if it’s working, but the ones who do notice no benefit. I’ve seen two blood works where guys did have a small increase in LH/FSH and at least one was fertile. The rest it’s nothing.
Likely no.
And neither HCG or clomid are guaranteed to restore size. I’ve used HCG for considerable time and it didn’t reverse atrophy one bit.
@BrickHead Are you saying the atrophy is permanent, even after cycling off TRT/restoring natural production?
No, he’s saying you can’t always have your cake and eat it too.
Stopping TRT would see your testicular size return, but that wouldn’t exactly be the healthiest thing to do if you have low-T.
For me, it is.
I said restoration isn’t guaranteed.
