What does everyone do for a job..??

I operate hydro power plants (the next evolution of the water wheel) for a small private utility that for some reason got the idea they are a large corporation.

I started off in the nuke propulsion part of the Navy in '78 and pushed submarines around the Pacific for a while. I worked on industrial combustion turbine generators for a while and now the hydro gig. On this career evolution path my next step should be lighting gas lamps in the street and then move on to tending camp fires in caves.

Chimney Sweep. The pay sucks but women at home can’t resist the filthy look of a chimney sweep.

I am a screenwriter, and I’m hoping to move into directing as well. I never went to film school, so I’ve had to learn everything I know about directing by being on set (which I am grateful most directors have allowed-- most kick the writer off the set.) It’s not nearly as glamourous of a life as most people imagine and I discovered that most of the money isn’t in doing specs but actually in doing rewrites. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. For me, it’s the greatest job in the world.
