Main concern is not being fat, so i guess Im asking! Am i too fat to keep on trying to bulk up. I did while i was deployed and I didnt put to much on. I am however attending a course where i will be doing alot of cardio, I start this week and I am looking for help on some kind of diet plan.
Bottom line Should I bulk or try to get lean (it is beach season)…What do you think…I have always wanted to post one but didnt have the balls to do so…But criticize away I think i need it!!
well if you’ve done your reading on t nation, you should know that you can continue to bulk up while burning unwanted fat so your question is moot - you can do both
Can u tell me some articles that might help, iwas thinking about trying the tdawg 2.0 I don’t know though … I heard that u can’t do both…were do u think I stand … What do I need to work on…
what do you need to work on? EVERY FUCKING THING! i don’t mean to be harsh but you really don’t have much of a build. you need a basic beginner’s routine and diet. you look like you may have lifted a little bit here and there…on and off…bla bla. but it doesn’t matter because it hasn’t gotten you squat thus far. so forget everything you think you know about training and nutrition, read every damn article TN has to offer on beginner routines and diets and get work man!

ease up on the guy… not everyone wants to be chris benoit’s body and face double. pull back the reigns man… seriously.
at OP they are right though, read and heed. use some discipline, and get to work.

I don’t think he was being too harsh at all. The guidelines are posted at the top of the forum. Don’t post your picture if you “just started” or have “lifted off and on”. There is nothing here to rate.

Yeah it’s obvious “rules” should be read… but what’s the point in chastizing the guy? anywho… i’m done here.

i wasn’t chastising him at all. i was giving it to him straight and honest. i didn’t say anything derogatory or mean. i just said he didn’t have much of a build which is my objective, honest opinion. it was meant to motivate him, not tear him down. anywho… i’m done here too.

My suggestion is to do a ton of wrist curls, tricep kickbacks, swiss ball crunches, and barbell curls in the power rack.
You’ll be a lean, mean fighting machine in 3 maybe 4 weeks.

1more was right though. I look at this guy and his upper arms look quarter way decent, but nothing else looks like he’s really done anything in the gym. I’m not ripping on the OP, and neither is 1more. To the OP: just pour through the articles on here and go post in the beginners forum.
The OP has a good frame with wide shoulders, and looks like he curls and benches. He’s also got the “turnip thighs” of a guy who squats (but probably leans too much into the movement).
Overall, I think he looks like a guy who has spent a few months training and has a layer of fat on top. Nothing wrong with his physique per se, just that he needs to keep going on for…I don;t know…another 2-3 YEARS or so before expecting a good rating.
OP, you have potential but clearly haven;t put in the time and effort yet. Keep going on, eat clean and plenty. Not much else to say.
