A friend of mine has an EVO, and that is the only other car I’m considering buying other than another S2000. I’ve wanted it ever since it came out, and I had already test driven it months ago. It was the only car that made me smile the entire time, and I’ve test driven just about everything in the price range (350z, RX8, S2000, etc.).
I love the EVO. Awesome handling, braking and performance. And now you can find them new for invoice or less in Florida (<$26,900). I’m still thinking of purchasing one if I get an unbelievable deal this weekend, as I’ll either get another S2000 or the EVO tomorrow.
I’m still a little unsure of reliability and quality with the EVO, but since I tend not to keep cars for very long, it probably won’t be an issue.
I would like an EVO because the extra room would come in handy and the performance is awesome, but I also don’t like that they cost more to maintain and get less gas mileage than my S2000.
So, we’ll have to wait and see what happens tomorrow…will it be the S2000 or the EVO?

Here’s a pic of my truck. Kind of hard to tell from this angle, but this drift in my driveway was over 5’ deep and runs about 15’ from the garage door back to the truck. That one was fun digging out, but the kids had a great time making a snow cave.
