I’m 5’10 and 1/2" I feel just about average until I’m playing basketball at school when I feel like a frickin midget…albeit a midget who is stronger than 99% of the guys on the court, but that doesn’t do you all that much good when most of the guys are 6 inches taller or more.

6’1+. I don’t really see why it matters. I’m somewhere between 5’7 and 5’8. Probably closer to 5’8. But in my head I’m at leaat 6 ft. I can’t say that there’s big any negative impact on my life. I do think it’d suck to be really short. But i my opinion, if you’re taller than a decent percentage of hot chicks when they’re in heels that’s all that’s necessary.
Some tall people slouch, for the simple reason they want to appear shorter, as they feel they stand out. This is more noticeable in women. I know a girl who is 6’0 and she walks with her derrier sticking out and kind of like a slouched over. It was only when she had someone correct her posture, that I realised how tall she is.
Plus that she had fantastic large breasts that now are sticking out, because all the slouch is gone.

I see no requirement that the man be taller than the woman. I’m 6’1" with heels on. Finding a man taller than me would have severely limited my dating prospects when I was younger. Looking down to kiss a shorter man is just as sweet as looking up to kiss a taller one. As long as I don’t have to pick him up from the floor to do it.

Yes, seriously. I was always shorter than everyone else, so I got used to it. Wishing you were taller seems to indicate some kind of dissatisfaction with yourself to me, like wishing your eyes were brown or something. I just dont get it. I mean, there are indeed advantages (basketball, reaching that pesky top shelf) but other than the reach, I give it a pass.

i would consider tall by the “standard” as anyone over 5’11. personally, being 6’4" i try to block height out of everything, because it usually brings undesired attention (for instance the first day at basic training was a bitch!) and answering the how tall are you/do you play basketball question 1000 times a day. sorry for the straying off the subject. 6’0"=tall, anything below 6’0"= not tall.

That’s true. I think it’s more of a comfort level thing. I was hooking up with a girl who’s 5’11 for awhile. Pretty face, awesome body, a lot of fun. Great girl. But it’s just one of those things that happened. It’s not something I normally seek out. And I think almost all women prefer guys who are taller than them as well.

I guess that depends on your viewpoint. I actually thing smaller girls have it easier. They have dating/hookup options due to comfort level on their part and those of others. Of course, they can always be like Yo Momma.

I’m 5’10", so of average height. But I’ve always felt small.
I’m half Australian, half Filipino. Around Caucasians/white people, I feel short. Around Asians I feel tall because they have a shorter average height. Well the younger ones growing up here are actually getting damn tall and reaching over 6’ these days. I think it has something to do with the Western diet. Or maybe all the growth hormones they are putting into the chicken and beef.
Here’s what it comes down to:
I think the main issue with height is not the height itself, but how you perceive yourself, especially relative to others. Do you feel big inside, or small inside? Some of the biggest men are actually of average height, but are perceived to be bigger than they really are because of the way they seem to project a bigger presence.
Also, if you are muscular, you will be perceived as big.
By the way, Kristanna Loken, of Terminator 3 and BloodRayne fame, is 5’11" (6’3" with heels on) and she is one of the tallest actresses in Hollywood. As well as one of the hottest women in the world. She’s got a great figure and looks good in clothes. I don’t normally go for blondes, but she’s pretty close to my image of human perfection.
