I really just cannot understand what they hope to gain.Every action of this sort just strengthens the resolve of the West.

You have to do better than this. You have to include tidbits from the link to stimulate curiousity in the reader.
Slow learner…
You don’t get it.
Islamists are after power. And the more they alienate “the West”, the more backers they’ll get from the people.
It’s kinda the same as the neo-con strategy.

“Resolve?” Heh. The West is tripping over itself to lose. And I’m of the mind that US would do best to watch it’s borders and let the rest of the “West” worry about the dysfunctional middle-east. Pfft, resolve. Maybe if we were talking about fighting for enviromentalism, establishing multiculturalism, and protecting the civil rights of enemy combatants (to the extent that our own citizens enjoy)…yeah, we have resolve in those areas. We have the resolve to be a materialistic, soft, aging, and self gratification seeking population. But to win against a foe filled with a “warrior spirit?” Hah!

Mind you, this is over a cartoon.
They got Dunkin Donuts confused with the Danish.

An intervensionist rsolve is not exactly what I was talking about.I agree with what you say about ALL,not just the US,withdrawing from interventions of any kind and battening down the hatches on the home fronts. That includes foreign aid handouts, financial gifts ,etc.
I don’t see this as a winnable conflict on an international stage.Or rather, the cost just doesn’t warrant the ballache.
Disengage, withdraw, and leave them to it.
If they are living within our borders, behave.Accept our standards or leave.Just as if I went to live there,I would accept theirs.Don’t like it?Leave.
They wish to be left alone?I say do it.

Leave them to Europe? It is far too late for your strategy.

Agreed. But the ones within your borders will already lead to a war. Islam is permanently antagonistic towards non-Islam.

I’m a Spaniard.I travel to Europe often enough to feel quite sure that there is no way on God’s green earth that Europe will turn into any kind of Muslim fundamentalist haven.
Europe is also on my batten down the hatches scenario.

What about their birthrates? They’re outbreeding the infidels.

Remember this was caused by a cartoon published in Europe. Would you close the borders to further Muslim immigration?

The birth rate issue is highly exaggerated in my opinion. The ones living within the confines of th E.U., will I’m quite sure, not be a problem.
But excessively lenient immigration standards will be.Illegal immigrant?Shipped back.
It goes against my very core belief to talk this way,but reality is what it is.The majority in the Middle East have to grab whatever it is they want.We cannot and should not do it for them.
And I’m also not at the moment too sure about allowing Turkey to join the E.U.
I’ve been in favor of every other country admitted so far.
But on this,I’m now really not sure at all.

Not close, but be far more discretionary in who and why gets allowed in,absolutely.

You do realize Neuro was probably talking about “the resolve” to defend freedom of expression, right?

Because you wrote “the West is tripping over itself to lose” which is clearly not the case. Denmark will not stand for this terrorism shit and you know it. You then go into a rant about the evils of environmentalism, civil rights and multiculturalism and try to spin this into some sort of civilizations’ clash.
In other words, you attacked Neuro’s truism by erecting, yet again, a giant strawman.

It is a civilization clash according to your prophet. We’re living in Dar al-Harb (the house of war) in the West.
You suffer from such an enormous credibility gap on this site that I can’t see why your handlers haven’t pulled you off this da’wa/taqiyya campaign. At every turn, you’d expect us to believe that the teachings of your religion are irrelevant to the violence perpetrated by adherents of your religion and that we really are at peace with one another. It’s like you’d have us believe we’re all not living in the world we see with our own lying eyes. This simply isn’t The Matrix.
