Not sure what the issue is, the Spockster mentioned pain and injuries etc. I recommended a health care practitioner Iāve used many times and been thrilled with. It makes me sad to be 3000km away from him so I can no longer get treated by him.

My workouts have been going really well!
Itās a lot of super sets, no rest, drop sets, partials, all of the place sorta stuff, and itās hard for me to remember what I did so I havenāt been logging.
Started at 143lbs, and today I was at 141.2, so almost down 2lbs. ![]()
Been doing tons of single leg stuff, even if I have to hold on to stuff so I donāt fall over itās been feeling really good. My weak , do-nothing leg finally has to work.
Today I worked up to a 5rm on squats SS band glute activation work and BW hip circle squats and my top set was 185lbs x 5, so I am really happy with that. It was my first day I squatting in 8 days and there was very little pain so Iām really relieved. Felt good to go sorta heavy again and itās good to know I can still do the stuff I love, just not excessively :D.
Already noticing small changes in the mirror so motivation is back up to 100% .

Been dieting officially for a month now, but its only been over the couple of days I really feel I have it dialed in. Probably wasnāt cutting enough the first couple weeks and I am still at a fairly high calorie intake, but gotta start high or there aināt no where to go!!
workouts are going really well
3 leg days a week, one back bi day, one shoulder upper back day, one chest shoulder tri and one rest. cardio 4 x a week for 20 min each.

yesterday I weighed in at 137.6 lbs down 5.4lbs
I mean, Iām a ways away from where I was, but Iām already starting to get my old spark back. Really remembering what it felt like to not feel fat all day, lol.
Have a really exciting job interview this afternoon . I have a very good feeling about this, it could be everything Iāve hoped for for a really long time. !
I had to break up with my boyfriend, which has been tough. I donāt like the word dump because I think itās mean. I had to end it because it was giving me excessive amounts of anxiety and depression. When we first got back together he quit drugs, he was working very hard on his drinking problems, he was working out and trying to improve himself mostly for me and my sake. Which doesnāt really work, you need to do it for yourself. He was sweet and caring and made me feel valuable. But the second his life started to get stressful again he turned to substances and shut me out and , blah, he just turned into a person that I didnāt know how to love anymore.
Itās not easy because sometimes you feel like youāre abandoning someone, but when that someone would rather be with booze than you itās not something you should continue to keep in your life.
So far I am dealing with it okay. I made up a panic attack jar filled with ideas about what I should do if Im having a panic attack and I want to contact him.
Go for a walk
listen to music
take a bath
etc etc
just like random draw, IDK.
I also got this nature sounds ap I put on every time I donāt like my thoughts.
And I am writing in this journal book. Kinda like a memoir of all the things I wish I could say to him, but heās too selfish to listen to me. Instead of arguing with him in my head all day I open the book and start writing .
And kinda like cue cards on my desk⦠I wrote out 20 of them and just shuffle through each day for a different positive note to read every time I walk by āyou deserve betterā āyou are strongā and whatnot.
Feel like the first time Iāve really taken a very active approach to mental health recovery instead of just crying and going to the gym .
I am sure a lot of people have dealt with loving someone or trying to build a life with someone who has substance abuse problems. It can be very hard to understand why youāre a human being yet less important than a beer. It can really impact your feelings of self worth and your self esteem. I donāt have to energy to live like that anymore. Too old I guess.
Anyway, I have a good friend who is pregnant with twins and sheās having a rough time so I am going to go over a few times this week and help her clean and gabe can play with her other son while her boyfriend is out of town. Need the distraction waiting to hear from work and getting over this guy. Need the positive vibes.
But ya this log is about lifting, so today was a rest day, lol.

One admonishment - his drinking is a disease and itās not that he prefers to drink to being with you, he doesnāt know how not to drink. He has to figure that out, you canāt do it for him and itās not a reflection on you, so donāt take it that way.

Iām sorry to hear things didnāt work out with your guy. Iām pretty sure you made the right call though. Although his substance abuse may be a disease, at some point Iād regard it like a drowning person. Detach or you can be dragged down as well. Cold?
