What Blender Do You Use?

I blew up my third blender this year yesterday. I drink between two to three shakes a day. Isopure+coffee or water + 4 cubes ice plus some small amount of fruit (morning shake only) and the blender lasts about three months. I’ve decided to go all out and buy an industrial blender, but they’re insanely expensive. What do you use/how has it held up? I trust people’s experience rather than some rating system on Amazon.
Thanks!

I use a turboblend Vitamix. Little expensive but have had for 7 years with no problems whatsoever and it crushes anything perfectly.

Reviews seem great for that ^^

I use a Hamilton Beach Drink Mixer.

Been using mine for 10 years now. works great, easy cleanup.

I use a Vitamix too… it is expensive but you can blend absolutly anything!

Damn - that Vitamix is sexy…

I use a Kitchen Aid blender and it’s holding up just fine. It also doesnâ??t need to be disassembled to clean it.

Are you adding the ice cubes only as directed in the manual? Most blenders have a specific setting for crushing ice, and if you donâ??t use it you WILL destroy the motor. Something else I have learned is just don’t ever try crushing up frozen fruit with a blender that is not made for crushing frozen fruit.

i use a magic bullet

Comes with batteries, right?

I bought a blender for $20 from Walmart about 3 years ago an I make an average of 1 - 2 shakes/day with it using lots of ice. It is an Ostersizer 14 speed blender. Still works like a charm.

Ha! Perfect.

I use some glass $20 blender from Kitchen Aide. It’s held up for months now. That and the magic bullet, which is awesome.

magic bullet is hands down the best blender for making protein shakes. also awsome because it has the bull size blender attatchement to

Maybe if you blend powder, water and babyfood instead of frozen fruits.

The Magic Bullet does not have nearly enough torque to take care of ice and frozen fruits and a decent volume of fluid. I’ve had the motor smoke on me before, plus the largest blender cup is like 16 oz.

By March I’ll have a Vita Mix 5200, baby.

Will It Blend…love that website.
Thank you for all your suggestions. I decided to go with a Kitchen Aid. I reallllllly want the Vitamixer, if the Kitchen Aid blows up, that’ll be next.

I do blend the ice according to the manufacturer’s directions. I seriously think I have a power problem in my apartment. The microwave caught fire a few months ago.
I should buy a Vitamixer and bill my landlord.

I use my parents vitamix 5000 series, but will be moving out so need to get my own. I don’t think i can go back to using cheap blenders after that thing. I’m going to have to buy one when i move out and a new one is a little over 400 or something.

well maybe you should look into baby food, as you’re current food intake seems to be a problem, tinkerbell

UGH!

<does the ‘suck it’ move from like 7th grade>

According to various consumer reports/reviews, the Oster Beehive is considered an excellent mid-range blender… can usually find it <$50

I’ve been using a magic bullet for months and it was a solid investment, I’ve never had any trouble with frozen fruit or ice. The only thing that I occasionally have trouble with is having oats sink to the bottom – but it depends which variety I use. Although I would enjoy a larger attachment for some of my gainer shakes. Sometimes I have to blend half the ingredients, drink a third of it, and then use the rest of the ingredients.
