I tried researching some threads on this but they were kind of old. Anyone know of a current good blender/juicer?
Im looking to make juice out of whole fruits and vegetables with a juice like consistency so my kids will drink it. I don’t want one of those juicers that extract the pulp, fiber etc. I want the whole fruit and veggie in there and blended into a juice like consistency.
The nutiribullet looked good and a friend of mine swears by it but the container size is too small. I need to make a decent amount at one time. Any suggestions.
Budget?

No kidding. If money is no option get a Blendtec or a Vita-Mix.
Personally I just buy one on sale and run it until it dies, rinse and repeat. Blenders are so cheap now it costs more to send them in for service than it does to toss it in the trash and buy another one on clearance.

Yeah, if money isn’t an issue I was going to suggest a Vitamix. They are the shit. Perfect for making nut butters.
Ok thanks guys. Money isn’t a big issue but I’m not crazy about spending $500 on a blender either, unless it’s the only one that will do what I need. If the cheaper ones perform the same way and can puree just as good as the expensive ones I’d rather buy the cheaper ones and just replace them if they wear out because I don’t foresee me blending drinks for my kids for much more than a couple years.
I have a vitamix. It’s about $400 but I love it. I’ve had it almost two years with zero problems and use it about 4 times per week on average. I can blend a rock into dust with that thing.
After many years of buying ‘good for a year’ plastic $20 crap blenders at Targets, I finally purchased a good quality $150 Cuisinart model with additional food processor attachment. I’ve had it for about 3 years now, and the thing takes a beating and definitely earns its keep around the apartment.

Lol, that’s what I like, being able to blend a rock into dust. I guess it’s gonna be the Vita Mix.
Stu does that blender liquify everything sufficiently.

So, what are you guys blending? Vegetable smoothies?
I would like a vitamin, but in Oz-land it costs $800!!! Im wondering if I can order one from the US and just using a converter for the plug??

I have owned and used a Vitamix for 14 years. In all that time, I only had to replace the container once. Otherwise it has never missed a beat with heavy usage. I eat way more veggies by just throwing them in a shake and drinking them down. Expensive, but it has been worth it to me.
Vitamix is the way to go. You can get some cheaper refurbished ones that still have a warranty. They are a little more expensive than your run of the mill blender, but worth it.

Well I haven’t put any rocks in mine, but it smashes ice cubes very well when I spend the time to whip up shake-like concoctions, and the food processor attachment shreds things almost too fine sometimes.
For my purposes, and for NOT costing $400, I’m definitely happy with it.

How about a Ninja??
Drive to costco right now and buy the ninja blender, its like 120 bucks and it is fantastic, my parents got one and it’s half the reason I go back home. If you don’t have a costco membership then get one! Its awesome
nutribullet.
Got mine at Wal-Mart for $99 bucks 6 months ago. The thing is frick’n awesome!
The thing will mulch even a Chuck Norris doll in short order…
Thrift Store vintage 70’s Oster VIII with 800 watts for $35.00 ! that thing purees bones…ok, not bones. Yet you get the idea.
Keep it clean and the blades sharp and you will have it forever/ plus the GLASS keeps the contents so much colder in the fridge than that plastic shit they come with now adays…Have you seen what they are getting for 700+ watt blenders/juicers
