They only break if you drop or throw your belt and it lands wrong. I have broke 1 in 10+ years. You can buy a new lever if you need to. I love lever belts, so much easier than a getting a prong belt tight. My 12 year old daughter is just getting into PL and she will be getting an Inzer lever belt for X-Mas…just haven’t decided if it will be 10mm or 13mm yet.
I think it’s a bit silly having a buckle that can break simply from being dropped. That said, I’ll happily pay the extra 20 bucks or so to have a spare lever and not worry about it. Over the life of the belt, an extra 20 is nothing!
Doesn’t the ‘forever’ guarantee cover the broken lever?
Yes, it does. Inzer gave my buddy a whole new belt when his broke. I’ve never had any problems with mine and I love my Inzer lever.

So Christmas is coming up and I plan to ask for a belt. Which one should I get?

Also, I’ve never really worn a belt when squatting (rarely went below 5 reps till now). What rep range do yall believe a belt is necessary?
get two, inzer lever 10mm thickness, and a 10mm thickness single prong.

Bob Morris made the best back in the day, but he’s no longer with us.

Most are servicible, but I think inzer has good quality, my lever is 8 years old and doing fine. My Morris single prong is 27 years old and as good as new.

I don’t see the need for 13 mm, unless you’re a very big, mid 200s and up guy, and handling big weights. 600-700 plus range.

Back in the day 10mm was the thickest allowed and guys were squatting 700-1000 and deadlifting 700 + just fine.

So the consensus is Inzer? I was looking at Titan and its a bit cheaper…is it worth the extra $30?
Ive had my old Titan single prong belt for over 20 yrs now , and its still as solid as the day I got it.
I tried the inzer lever and almost immediately resorted back to my old Titan .
Its approx 11mm thickness and TBH at 165 lb & having squatted/deadlifted 600 + you dont need much more.

That looks a lot like my Morris belt. I think the old ones were better btw than what’s available now.

I like my Titan too. And it has got a sweet picture of a bull on the back

I would just go with an Inzer 10mm Single prong. Great belt. I use it when I lift at school and nothin’ feels better. Just my opinion though. It’s completely up to you though.

Yes it does , but I think the bob morris ones were custom made with holes at 1" .

My old Titan ( pictured ) like the b morris is solid throughout and not the grained leather that I see some are made of to-date.

Inzer is good. APT is good.

Yep, I think I paid app 50$ for it in 1983 . My son was using it , but decided he wanted an elite belt. He fad money saved ,so I bought it for him. Now. I
do q&a for Dave. And I respect him as much as anyone I know in business anywhere and anytime in my life. But comparing a bob Morris original to an elite belt is like comparing a 1963 vette to a 2011 accord . But making the vette as reliable as the accord or more.

Kids. They don’t know crap. Even boy genuis’ like mine.

I been using this belt for 4 weeks, Deadly. It works. Easy belt to use if you have a gut like me.

btw i used a single prong when i was a teenager. The lever belt is the smoothest belt to use. Its well worth an extra 30 bucks.

LOL. … I think they ( kids ) would be thinking likewise about us old farts.

TBH since making attempts to get back into some serious lifting after injury ( see `return to PL ?` thread ) I have been amazed at the advances in support gear over the past 10 + yrs.

I used to lift in a single ply Titan victor suit ( with a loose fitting victor for the deadlift ) and red line wraps , the old ones cut in half for wrist support LOL.
I have since got myself some Titan THP wraps and have found that my old red lines are like knicker elastic in comparison , and the Metal wrist wraps I purchased are unbelievable.
Given the price of some suits these days I think I`ll wait until Im confidently back into the swing of things before making a purchase , but the TRX inzer looks to be what Id be looking for.

Best wishes , T.

My Inzer belt has more holes then my APT one. So if you plan to get fat or skinny I’d go Inzer. Both belts are good though.
