What are Good Stats for a Short Guy?

Really, Irish?

I didn’t know you were in with the extreme right-wing nut-job crowd.

lol

Seriously… I’d love to design fitting shirts for the short lifter. For T-shirts, I’d do some killer graphics!

that would be cool.
im really how many guys really wear the 3,4,5x size shirts. thats like wearing drapes.

im lucky that i dont have to tuck in my nicer shirtss for work.

if thats from the 08 olympia he was 183 there

Us short guys have to realize that even if we have the comparative physique of Thibs (ratio-wise) we’ll always be looked at as short. We may finally look good in photos but compared to our taller brothers we’ll always come up short. 5’4 + Jacked will never equal or come close to beating 6’3 + jacked (or arguably even semi jacked). Just like a woman under 5 ft with a perfect figure will never enter the ranks of the super models.

That has truth to it actually. I am fairly lucky in that i fall somewhere in the middle (albeit on the lower end) at 5’8". Not so short so as to look totally square, and not so tall so as to struggle.

If you look at Pumping Iron, when Arnold and Franco are competing for the overall (with Arnie towering above him) Franco is more muscular and has a better physique (IMO), but due to posing, personality and also height - it HAD to go to Arnold.

Sure posing and stage personality are correctable faults in BB, but Arnold would ALWAYS look more impressive than Franco simply due to his height.

This isn’t the case when looking at athletes separately however, with someone like Joel Stubbs being behind many of today’s shorter bodybuilders… but put them side by side and Stubbs will just look more impressive simply due to sheer size (not so much muscularity, but mass).

Sure Posing and Personality(on stage) are faults if not exploited, but Arnold would ALWAYS look more impressive than Franco simply due to his height.

and id rather have francos strength any day the week :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m 5’3" an 3/4 an the most I ever clocked in @ was 237lean lbs.
My brother @ 5’7" come in @ about 280; our frames are nothing alike but I think genetics an muscle length an maturity play a huge roll in what a person looks like @ certain weights.
So the short answer is it varies from person to person.
BTW I’d rather Franco’s strength over Arnolds musculature.

Whenever you think someone is “looking down on you” for anything, whether it is height or clothing style or anything, remember these ancient Chinese words of wisdom:

“Fuck 'em.”

I’m on a Danny Padilla kick right now.

This vid was shot almost 20 years ago, yet Padilla looks to be as fully developed as his frame allowed.
Awesome physique… even by today’s standards!

Absolutely!

Though apparently some people let it get to them… http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5hFnyfm7xtAwRiEPo7cCX3YdBEYfwD9AJBUGO0

~5’4" and 237lbs! Damn! I can see where the user name would come from.

At 5’5" and ~180lbs I also have trouble with shirts fitting. I bet a lot of people would buy your t-shirts if they fit right!
