Westside Training For Basketball

Hello, I am 16 years old and would like to use the Westside concepts to increase my explosive power for basketball. I am having trouble organizing a proper training week due to the fact that i am very new to this.

Can anyone with more experience help me with some input on how to organize a training week Westside-style and also what exersizes and movements to do that will help with vertical jump and speed.

Last, I am simply curious about Westside’s concepts and would like to try them to see the results. I realize I may have to change certain aspects due to my age, but I am willing to follow through as long as it is the right program for me. If anyone thinks that another system would be better (I am also very interested in INNO-Sport), please dont hesitate to tell me.

Thanks for your replies. If its not too much trouble could somebody who is training westside style post what a typical week would look like for them? I understand defranco’s template and have seen it before many times but a typical westside template seems different.

i’ll be posting my workouts on the vert/speed training thread. i’m doing a typical defranco/westside program from what i understand it to be. a ME day and a speed/DE day.
