First time for reverse band box squats and I have to say they are going to take some getting used to. I’m pretty sure I could ahve done more weight but it was hard to concentrate on everything at 405 so i just stopped there. I’ll push it a bit harder next time.

I’d be interested in seeing how you set up the reverse bands. Is that just getting you used to having that much weight on your shoulders?

I’ll see if I can get a video of it. I lift in one of those Hammer Strength Racks instead of a proper cage so I have to be inventive.
gosh, don’t know what’s happening to my PMs and posts Joe…I’ve tried to comment on the squat video several times?
Try again
Box Squats…I load my chains a bit differently…lengthen the leader chain and slip the 5’ chain though the leader chain, as Pete said, a link or 2 only on the ground.
May want to put a plate on the box to get it a bit higher until you get used to box squats, looks like you’re losing a bit of tightness on the last portion as you hit the box, try not to use momentum to get you back off the box.
Crazy bells…give a try to just the hanging weight 3 sets of 20…really good for keeping tightness and rehab for the shoulders too.
See and I find box squats oh so natural. But I like the wide-stance “sit back” style of squatting. Funny how I’m reverting to narrow and struggling a bit.
Cool stuff going on in here. It must be fun to try all these new things.

I have been told that I have a very narow squat stance. I’m trying to widen it and the box squats should help but its going to be a battle. You, on the other hand, are a natural squater.
I am enjoying all of the new things though sometimes I wonder if I’m setting everything up right.

How heavy are the K-bells? And how many, one on each side? Can I get a pic of this? I think I’d like to try the crazy bells at some point. [/quote]
Normally I use a 25lb plate than a kettle bell because its right at hand in my gym. You put one on each side hanging from micro minis. I’ll see if I can get a pic for you soon.

Is this how you’re setting up the crazy bell bench Joe?

Yep, except that I only have one set of micro minis so I put a 45 on each side of the bar and then hang a 25lb plate from each micro mini.
