Thats damn good squating. I’d do the snoopy dance if I broke 300.
Nice depth. You carry the bar really low. All bundled up and all.

I’ve been playing with bar position a bit. It is sitting on my rear delts in the above vid. Perhaps a comparison vid of high and low bar would be interesting (to me anyway).
It’s up to +10C today (Spring has sprung…maybe). But I need a day off.

I’m beat. Pretty much everything hurts. The smart thing to do would have been to take the day off. So,…

The above made me smile. Oh, do I understand the mindset. ![]()
Don’t say the “s” word. You know that will jinx it.
I dig your squats.
it will be time to come out from hybernation soon!
I have this fantasy of doing heavy deads in the middle of your amazing green yard with those tall trees in the background.
I’m not dealdifting; I’m pushing the earth away from the barbell ![]()

You would be surprised at my multitasking abilities.
Shoulders at the commercial gym
Push press…these are much easier on my shoulders than strict militaries so I’m going to sub these in.
bar x 10
95 x 5
135 x 5
155 x 3,3,3,2,2
Close grip bench to pins (about 3 inches from chest)
155 x 5
205 x 5
225 x 5,5,5,4
Seated lateral raise + Db clean + 1/2 press
3 x 10 each
Anything that doesn’t hurt the shoulders is a good thing. Why the CG’s to pins?

Actually they were dead stop starting on the pins. Pins about 4" off my chest. I wanted to see if removing the last few inches of ROM would put less stress on my shoulders…seemed to work.
Primarily a triceps exercise anyway so that last few inches doesn’t mean much.
I am a big fan of shoulders.
Maybe I’ll give some of this a try, I have the shoulders of an eleven year old vietnamese girl.
I also note that this page of your log is 100% picture free… shakes fist

Gosh, such a sweet talker. “blush”
Actually, my shoulders are a weak point. I’ve been held back somewhat by some pain issues but I think I’m figuring out how to train them harder.

She was talking about Kimba’s shoulders.
Okay maybe she wasn’t…

I think you are right. Kimba’s look better than mine.

Yeah…I think Ups was talking about Kimba there, stud ![]()
Btw, I just got back from my PT and as she said that even if you have super strong shoulders (like I do ahem) you need to really stretch those bitches out - apparently what one what one makes up for in strength they lack in flexibility, especially when your, er, older and the muscles are less resilient. So stretch! Or else you’ll be a sad clown like me
<—see? so sad.
Great training as always Don Git.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I know, I know (red face)
So, about the shoulder bitch stretches…did your PT give you anything special? My internal shoulder rotation sucks and hurts (putting my arm behind my back is not easy and is painfu) and I have done one of the Cressey stretches for it in the past. Mobility seemed to improve but not the pain.
First! Before someone says ART. I really need to look into this.
