Vanity vs. vanity. Sounds like a no-lose proposition.
About box squats . . . So people use the box as a tap for speed reps? I never thought of that. But I don’t do speed squats. I like the full box squat where the initiation of the lift happens in the hole. But I haven’t done those for a long time.
Definitely a nice avi. [/quote]
I love how you casually say yea nice avi…
All this time he was distracting us with ass shots while keeping the massive arms under cover…frickin ROCK STAR

waves hand vigorously I NOTICED TOO!!!
tu est delectable Mr. Git.
keep up the awesome work. and I agree - so much focusing on the deriere, I had no clue you were sporting such guns…
Regarding diet… ya know as soon as someone talks about diet I’m gonna have an opinion.
Initially in a diet a guy shirnks a bit everywhere. There is a bit of shrinkage in the muscles as the msucle shed glycogen and water as part of carb control. This is what tends to make bigger guys freak out and quit. But the glycogen/water shrinkage comes back within a day once you start eating carbs again.
If you can survive to 10% bodyfat, you actually start to look bigger as you get leaner. It’s the funky illusion kicking in. A guy with shoulders your size would like psychotic.
You cannot get bigger and leaner at the same time. It’s a popular myth that people like to believe because they want to. A guy has to prioritize one or the other or he tends to suck at both and go nowhere.
The scale lies to you as you get leaner. I like to hover around 180-190. At that weight there’s no obvious belly , but no abs either. When I’m sporting a six-pack I weigh about 170. It tends to make me freak out, but at the point the scale is really meaningless.
Again, you are a f##king beast. That avi is W-I-C-K-E-D!!!

Thanks fellow Canuck. I appreciate it.
You’re right. I was being a little flippant when I said “at the same time”. I will likely do a few mini cycles. Lean down, bump up calories for a few weeks, back off for a few…that sort of thing. More of a ratcheting approach. Similar to what Starnes refers to as damage control.
Losing enough to get to a 6 pack would mess with my head. Although I’m sure my wife, and the neighborhood mom’s, would love it. “Hello ladies”…in my best Old Spice voice.
