Kmc, I noticed you pulled 475 at a lighter weight. Damn good.
Mainy, thanks. I was feeling pretty good about it. Worked on my air guitar for a while after getting it. sorry about the angle. I was trying to see my shoulders relative to the bar. Ended up being kinda crappy since I couldn’t see much. RDLs in a few days. Hang in there
Maschy, guarantee of swoleness every time I see your avi appear. I’m working on lockout by setting the pins in the rack so I’m working the top 4-6" or so of bench. Also I have Elite bands on the way so that should help.
Kimba, you and me both Nice DL work you have going on over there. You’re the definition of zesty.
255 x 3
290 x 3
335 x 1…form sucked too bad so I stopped.
The weight was forward on my feet. I could feel it every time I descended. I haven’t been squatting enough lately.
315 x 1,1,1,1,1…still kinda crappy.
Today’s upside.
Coming out of the hole is my weakness so i was thinking about how to work that. Loaded 235 and did from below parallel to halfway up for 3 sets of 5 in a continuous motion.
I like these. I’m keeping them for a while and will build up the weight.

Nice squatting, when are you going to do a meet?
Well, I have a bit of an “in it to win it” personality which makes it tough for me to do anything just for the experience. Not necessarily a good trait.
But, if I could go 400/300/500 I would consider it.

OHP…some leg drive to give shoulders a break
105 x 3
135 x 3
155 x 3
175 x 1
155 x 3
135 x 5,5,5
Whoever said “lockout, work it!” wasn’t kidding in my case. Needs attention.

Piece of cake, Git. Just do what I did: enter a division and weight class no one else is in.
OK, I like to win too, which is why I grit my teeth at lifting less than everyone else. but if I can do it, anyone can.
315 x 3
365 x 3
405 x 4…My weight was too far forward on my feet. I had visions of pulling 8 but my back would have been screwed.

Very nice session. Have to love the drag curls. Try them on a Smith Machine if you ever get the chance.
Looks like a solid program there to get your strength to where you want it to be.

Then win.
I like the way you think.
So do I. I hate to compete unless I’m trying to win.

How and where does your bicep tendon pain manifest itself? How do you know that’s what it is?
The reason I ask is I’m having a bit of shoulder trouble myself but don’t know how to diagnose it. Can’t bench or overhead press ATM without pain.
Any ideas?
Hey FB. Sorry to hear about your troubles.
Since the bicep tendon attaches at the shoulder, the symptoms usually include pain or tenderness in the front of the shoulder and pain or achiness that moves down the upper arm. Benching and overhead pressing are prime aggravating movements. The rotator cuff tendon is often mixed in there as well. Honestly, I don’t know if I have issues with my rotator as well but i suspect I do.
