Where do you feel Zerchers cause I feel them in my quads and abs? I ask this because the idea of a Zercher widowmaker set after my three work sets keeps growing on me.

I do tend to feel them in my quads. And hams if I get low enough. I can usually feel some soreness in my abs after leg day.

For me, Zerchers are more of a power movement similar to DLs. I don’t even like doing them free-standing. I much prefer doing them from pins to focus on the concentric. And anything over 3-5 reps just doesn’t feel right. If you are using Zerchers to drive up your squat 1 RM, I think multiple sets of 3, from pins or not, would work better.

But a 20 rep Zercher widowmaker (take your current 10 rep max, and do 20 using rest-pause) sounds like a bitch. I think you should do it :slight_smile:

Agreed about the zerchers, its I like starting from the crouched position. Im happy im not the only one that feels it in my quads, a lot of reading I have done about them state they are a hammy, glute, DL assistance movement.
