Training at the commercial gym.

So, I had a tremendous amount of built up, ah, frustration to deal with so I ambled over to the local gym thhis afternoon.

I also have some commitments coming up over the next few days that will make training difficult. So I decided to do back and chest together. Not a fan.

T-bar rows supersetted with incline Smith bench. This was more for convenience than anything. T-bars in the corner right beside the Smith machine.

T-bar…used the 35s this time
2 plates x 10
4 plates x 8
5 plates x 5
6 plates x 5
7 plates x 5
8 plates x 5
6 plates x 10,10
Note: I actually like the 45s better. The extra range of motion feels like more arms than back.

Smith machine incline bench
1pps x 10
1pps+10 x 10
1pps+25 x 6
1pps+35 x 5
2pps x 4
1pps+35 x 5
1pps+25 x 8

A milk chocolate-skinned, yoga panted, low cut, push-up, foreign accented beauty started doing leg press beside me. This did NOT help my, ah, condition…at all.

Standing calves
5 sets + 1 extended drop set.

Note: I do not like doing alternating push / pull in the same workout. Screws with my groove.

And, I’m down to 196 (4 lbs) since March 26. I don’t feel any strength loss but I’m going to slow it down a bit. It’s a looooong way to beach weather here.

Well, I don’t want to be crass but I believe it started when I watched your knee being wrapped. And it just got progressively worse. There is no permanent cure. Any treatment only offers temporary relief.

Well I definitely don’t want to check out early. Work has been silly and I’m prone to stress anyway. Training is definitely a big part of keeping my head on straight. The company I work for is struggling (fixable…I think) and that is turning up the heat around here.

I ate waaayy too little today and had to load up on the gatorade, creatinzzz, BCAAs, and whey to get me through.

280 x 0…not close
270 x 0…would have been a 5lb PR. No dice
Add wraps
270 x 1…easy
285 x 1…easy (vid)
305 x 0…got greedy

So, I’m sure 295 with wraps would have went and I probably could have had 265 without. Gain = 30lbs. Crank 'em down hard Joe.

Zerchers - dropped from hole 7 to hole 5. What will be the impact?

325 x 1…(vid) might have had another 10 lbs in me but that was enough for today. Max at hole 7 last week (about 4 inches higher) was 370. So 4 inches = 45lbs.
