Westside Makes You Sexy(er)

The best part of the cruise, in my experience, is how well you sleep. The ocean just lulls me to sleep.

I think you did the right thing going for the 325. Your a beast so push your progression.

Man, I could use some good sleep. If that is the only takeaway it is worth the money.

tate plan, week 3, day 2, ME bench

2 board bench
135 x 3
155 x 3
185 x 3
205 x 3
225 x 3
235 x 3
245 x 1
255 x 1…same as last week
260 x 0…it’s only 5lbs so I should have had it. Died halfway up.

DB Rolling tris
25s x 10
30s x 10
40s x 4…thought my left arm was going to explode. Soreness is on the outside of upper arm between bi and tri. Icing it now.
30s x 4 x 10

Band extensions (double Lights)
3 x 10-12

One-arm press
40s x 3 x 15

It’s a new avi. Thanks…perhaps some more beefy. I’m pretty bored looking at myself. Maybe I’ll choose an appropriate superhero?[/quote]

I’ll speak for lula and say we would not approve of a new avi superhero unless you dressed up as one.

Hey there you. You’re cute. Thanks. Maybe next Halloween I’ll come up with something.

See that is where I think you should have skipped 255 and went straight to 260. You’ve already done 255, so all that set did was use energy that you could have put towards 260. I would either jump to 260 right off the bat, or maybe do a couple singles with 255 that way you are putting more work in with that heavy weight or hitting a pr if you make the jump.

good lifting

You know I was actually thinking about your advice when I was loading the bar. But I’ve had some tendinitis issues and I think it’s turning me into a pussy. Actually my arms don’t bother me as much with bench as they used to so I should get more aggressive.
OK, deal. More PRs. Thanks for pointing this out.

rock and roll, get some!

Solid work Git. How did 255 feel? I often take really small jumps too and actually really like them.

It felt pretty good. My lockout still kinda sucks.
One thing I don’t believe I do very well is flare on the press. I’m tucking OK on the way down (spread the bar and all that) but I’m pretty sure I’m robbing myself of some pounds on the way up.

And some math, just for fun…
Bench: 245 for a sinlge + 6% = 260 for a single
Deadlift: 445 for a single + 6% = 472 for a single
The DL weight progression is something I’m comfortable with. Should work for bench too.

duh

Elbow sleeves, get them.

I also have tendonitits flare ups and elbow sleeves help a ton.

Nice job Git!

I am always partial to Capt America myself but that probably just my military background talking…
