Westside Makes You Sexy(er)

Good working fighting through that, though i thought you might cry at the end.

haha…there is no crying in the weight room, or in baseball.

Actually, I haven’t squatted in about a month and I would estimate that my squat is up about 20lbs after going nowhere for 3 months. I suppose that could bring a tear to my eye.

My commiserations to Mrs Git on the “orgasm face” btw.

I don’t think my O face bothers my wife much because it’s normally blocked by the magazine she’s reading!

Great squat. Looks like that 400 squat is on the cards.

Well, it certainly does explain her turning out the lights.

Thanks, Sir Squatmeister

Nice PR, way to fight through it. No comment on the O face.

nice pr, no comment on the face. my wife is usually facing away…

Very kind of you to let her watch her favorite TV shows. A true gentleman.

Nova Scotian foreplay, “Brace yourself. This might sting a little.”

In disgust? and

looking through the rear windscreen?

were my attempts.

Excellent squat PR!

O face was more like an “Oh no” face! LOL! Just kidding. My O face resembles Halibut out of water, so really who am I to comment…

Freaking heavy GMs btw. Nice work!

I thought you said your O face was an octopus on meth?
Anyway, boys at about the 40 second mark this is what Maschy looks like. I’ve seen worse.

Yeah buddy! That’s my money shot, right there! Look at me go, gasping for air…good times!

Maschy is the best sport ever

ME Upper
Close grip (1 finger from smooth) + monster mini bands (+35lb at top)
bar + b’s x 3
95 + b’s x 3
135 + b’s x 3
185 + b’s x 3
205 + b’s x 1
215 + b’s x 1…PR! Not having done this before, of course. The last 2 sets aggravated my bicep tendons. Something I am prone to. I’m not sure low rep, close grip stuff is the best choice for me.

JM press with monster minis
bar + b’s x 5
95 + b’s x 5
115 + b’s x 8

Son came in and asked if we could play tennis. Arms were aching so I was happy to oblige. I’ll do the rest of the accessory stuff tomorrow.

oh my…always a LOL! when I peek in here.

And NIN is some sexy lifting music.

Good work!

Hai!
MIM likes NIN…snicker.

Upper accessory stuff that I didn’t get done yesterday

Not necessarily in this order. Some as a complex. Generally higher reps. 2-3 sets of each

  • rolling tris (made my tendons achy so stopped)
  • hammer curls
  • 1 arm rows
  • band bicep curls
  • band lateral raises
  • bent over laterals
  • band OH extensions
  • inverted rows
  • pushups with wide hands

Met Trent and the guys from NIN couple of times while runnig a bar in Chitown. Then ran into them again in NOLA, partied with them a bit. Then my crazy friend got drunk and declared that he was going to kill Trent to prove his love for Winona Ryder, whom he had bodyguarded(sp?) a few weeks prior. It was some bizarre ‘Taxi Driver’/Travis Bickle kind of logic. Had to redirect drunk/crazy friend’s attention.

haha, that’s crazy! Then again, she’s damn pretty.

Back from a few days of camping on the Bay of Fundy with family and friends. Good times and great weather.

DE lower day
6-8 warm-up sets and stretching for hips. They are a bit cranky from adapting to the box squats. I’ll be monitoring closely.
edit: Added a board to the box to give hips a break.
225 + red bands (+35 at top)
8 x 2

Natural GHRs

  • assisted with red band x 10
  • assisted by micro-mini x 5, 6 (first time with this band)
  • assisted by red band x 20
I’ll use the micro-mini from now on and shoot for sets around 10 reps. I should be doing unassisted GHRs soon.

Sled drag

  • forward 4 x 90ft
  • backward 4 x 90ft

HLR
3 x 10

Incidentally, I would argue that video illustrates the importance of curls (biceps and curling strength) as an example of “functional strength”. lol.

Congrats on the PR Band Squat, that shit was intense…I love dem bands.
