FACK I thought you had that! awesome work regardless and love the SOAD! Im glad that Im not the only one who uses the X style front squat…feels much better to me.
Only way I can do them. “Death by bar choke”.
Great work G’done.
Thanks Mr. Squat.
It would take me months to get the flexibility needed to do a clean grip. I’m not that interested. X style works fine.
May I suggest Static-X for your next attempt?
X marks the spot. I can most definitely lift to this. Dont own any but Im going to Amazon. Right. Now.
DE Upper
Bench
135 with doubled micro-minis (+20lbs at bottom, +30 at lockout)
dropped down from 145 + mm’s last time. This is a better weight.
had a genius attack and moved my foot position from tucked under bench to wide and out front. Shit, this feels better. More stable, better leg drive.
also went with a slight pause at the top instead of just rocketing through the reps. Found this helped keep the bar in the groove and was easier on my bicep tendons.
12 x 3…3 grips
Close grip (1 finger from smooth) with m-m bands
did very little close grip before. I’m lovin’ it.
155 + b’s x 3
175 + b’s x 3
195 + b’s x 2…happy with this. Probably a weight PR.
175 + b’s x 3, 3, 3, 3
CG drop set
175 + b’s x 3, 155 + b’s x 3, 135 + b’s x 5
Incline DB
40s x 12
65s x 9
65s x 9
65s x 14
Hammer curl
40s x 20
40s x 20 (barely)
Db laterals
20s x 20
20s x 20 (barely)
2-arm Db rows at 45 degrees…great lat pump
65s x 15
65s x 20…sucking wind
Job made me want to punch myself in the junk today (stole that line from Ink) but this made up for it.
Wow now that’s some volume, I’m glad you took the speed bench down and are focusing on form and speed. I agree the pause at top will save some on the shoulders.
Tomorrow we have 25 kids ages 6-10 coming to our house for a Halloween party. If I can keep from drinking beer to calm my nerves, I’m going to eat a bunch of sugary crap food and beat the shit out of ME Lower day.
Nice work Git! Leg drive is an issue with me as well, I think its more mental and general retardedness with me however. My pea size brain cant remember all the cues when the weight is on the bar!

YAY!!! I hope you’re dressing up! And by dressing up, I mean NOT wearing your smoking jacket around the house for once. Got it, sexy?
Party was a success! Weather was spectacular. But holy shit it’s a lot of work.
So, fueled by hotdogs, doughnuts and protein shakes I did ME Lower.
GMs…set the pins one hole higher than parallel so I could use more weight. And to deal with my hotdog bloat. First time doing GMs as an ME exercise. Will do again.
135 x 5
185 x 5
225 x 3
275 x 3…previous weight max
315 x 3…vid
335 x 1
345 x 1…vid
Deadstop front squats
135 x 5
185 x 3
225 x 4
225 x 6…vid
225 x 5
Ab roller
BW x 10
+45lbs x 10…the opposite of easy. Favorite ab exercise since it hits everything and is easy to adjust load.
How are you feeling after those GMs? gawd those are heavy. Question, why not drop the weight some and rep em out instead?
Hey there MiMster!
feel great today. Hams are the most sore but not too bad. Low back definitely feels like it did some work. Mid and upper back too.
yesterday was an ME day so I was going for something in the 1-3 range. Basically doing GMs instead of squats or deads on my heavy day.
I like GMs in the 4-6 range as an assistance exercise on squat days. I don’t see the point of reps higher than that.
