Well...It's Official

Thanks for all the replies. It’s great to hear from those of you who already made that 10 year journey and gained significant amounts of muscle. I’m very motivated. Motivated to gain muscle and watch the Pats win an unprecedented 3 straight superbowls. Cheer with me rainjack, yahoo!

Congratulations! The fun has just begun for you. 35 -45 you’ll still make significant improvements. 45-55 you can still make improvements and with actually less volume. just allow more time for recovery. 55-65 is where you spend most of your time picking up the 25 year olds after they just fell on their face and made a complete ass of themself trying to keep up to an experienced senior citizen that’s got several decades of training under his belt. When you encounter one of those situations, cherish it. They are priceless.

I still notice some under-age people accessing this section. Isn’t anyone carding at the door???

Congratulations, as one who is about to turn 50 in the next two days, I can tell you; if you are in good shape, getting older can really be fun. As they said above, showing up the younger folks, is really a treat. Ask me how I know this?

If you look good, and feel good, don’t sweat the years.

John

Happy birthday and welcome!

Happy Birthday Old Timer…

And don’t eat all the Grow! in the joint; I’ll be joining you in about 4 1/2 years or so…

Yea… However, not necessarily more mature than most.

Randy,

When you trading in the Barney suit for guass wraps???

yep…just getting started…
i’m turning 40 in july and other than deadlifts, all my personal bests have been made in the last year or so.

strength in wizzdom… just keep those nose hairs trimmed… cause with all that “mature” testosterone floating around in your body…they might grow down into your dentures

Do you really have to pollute the thread with your nonsense? Don’t have 18,000 calories to down in the next 2 hours?

Now that you’re 35 I guess you’ll have to change your screen name though, huh? You won’t be nearly so ‘randy’…

No kidding. What day?

← turns 40 on July 9th.

And yes, what’s with the damn nose hair, anyway? God has a sadistic sense of humor.

What do you think of the idea that we post pics of ourselves when we hit a big one (age wise)?

On a lighter note, I am thinking of shaving my mustache off because the women my age are have better ones than me.

Happy belated birthday, randman. Gotta couple of years on ya. I’m 38. Have to agree, I’m in much better shape now that 10 years ago. Mentally AND physically.

on the 21st… taking wifey to sunshine coast, australia to partake in life’s essentials: diving, surfing, golfing, and shagging like rabbits!

cheers-
