I don’t know why it’s not more popular:
Machine Head - there’s some screaming and yelling, but more importantly a lot of heavy guitars and drums.
“Bite the Bullet” and “Imperium” are pretty intense, and “Halo” and “Davidian” aren’t quite as aggressive.
Here’s a few non-mainstream songs that WILL get you pumped to destroy whatever weighted obstacle you encounter.
Ignore the “Shitknot”, Korn, Drowning Pool and Disturbed suggestions please, as that is not “heavy” metal at all. If you want aggressive, non-radio metal, here are a few I listen to.
Disturbed sounds like it was literally made to be worked out to lol.
Seether - out of my way - originally heard this song in the background of a Branch Warren video, pretty good
Lil Wyte is pretty much 100% aggressive ass rap music. you can find tons of gems for working out in his albums, heres 1 good one
And some more, I’m just putting out names I can remember atm but I know there’s more
Lloyd Banks - warrior, don’t push me
Roy Jones Jr - cant be stopped, go hard or go home
TI - you dont know me, big shit poppin,
DMX - give em what they want, we in here, lord give me a sign
50 cent - gotta make it to heaven
Eminem - you dont know,
Rick Ross -push it to the limit
Lately for a preworkout, getting in the zone song my current fav is The Outsider (apocalypse mix) by a perfect circle.
That song puts me into a frenzy, truly awesome.
Any bit of rammstein is excellent for hard training
Tool - 10,000 Days - Vicarious - Go to about the mark where there is 2:00 and hit the PR when get to “Vicariously I live while the whole world dies” don’t know why just pumps me the fuck up.

Like the topic says im looking for good songs to get me pumped for a heavy lift. I know there are 800000000 threads about weightlifting music but I downloaded some of the suggestions and the guys screaming at the top of their lungs and making growling noises doesnt exactly do it for me. (not knocking that type of music…it just isnt my bag).[/quote]
Sentenced-Blood And Tears
Eths-Crucifere
Therion-Voyage Of Gurdjieff (The Fourth Way)
Wolf-Speed On
Amorphis-The Smoke
Blind Guardian-Another Stranger Me
Chaotica-Unstable
Betty Blowtorch-Rock And Roll 69
Eidolon-Coma Nation
Gamma Ray-Beyond The Black Hole
Fireball Ministry-Flatline

Soundgarden’s “Black Rain”.
Cornell’s vocals make your hair stand up, and the riff is heavy and off-kilter.
I put that fucker on ‘repeat’ for the duration of a training session. Never gets old.
Seems like cock rock and watered down metal is the genre of choice for the Nation. I’ll up the ante with the Cro Mags album “The Age of Quarrel” and Black Flag’s “Damaged” and “My War”

I don’t see your point. For one, I have a cock, I drink lots of water, and I like metal (among other genres).
lol
Oh, I see. Punk is STILL not in accord with metal? Geez, I thought THAT mentality died back in the 80’s (back when my playlist was Black Flag, Minor Threat, Husker Du, Bad Brains… etc.)
