Anyone here have experience with combat sports on gear? Would you still be able to put on good size and strength while balancing a combat sport let’s say 2-3x a week when on gear? Recovery should be significantly better
Are you still strength training as well or is that your only exercise? Test will strengthen/enlarge your muscles but not thicken ligaments and tendons which can increase chance of injury, FYI.
Still wanting to weight train 3-4x a week yes. Definitely will be careful about injury prevention
I don’t see why you wouldn’t gain some size/strength. If you are lifting and BJJ you may want to sit down and calculate your calorie expenditure and make sure you are eating above maintenance in order to put on size.
