just can’t help it anymore… Come on morons… learn to spell and what words go where… won is spelt ‘Won’ and not ‘One’ and use complete sentences. ‘but I not to and’; I would assume you meant a word like ‘chose’ to be in there some where.
No wonder the general public considers gym rats to be ‘less than smart’ don’t talk unless you can be understood…
Buddy,I am not picking you out exclusively, you are merely an example of something that seems to be out-of-control.
Act like a stereo-type(eg, stupid gym rat)and don’t be surprised when you are called on it…
Who the fuck do you think you are?
Ok I made a simple mistake it happens get over yourself you one testicled asshole. People like yourself are the reason why people view wieghttrainers as stupid and cocky. What gives you the right to ruin a thread just becuase I was typing fast and forgot a word? Clusterfuck next time skip what I have to say so I don’t have to come on here and further ruin what someone made just because you got a headache from thinking too hard

“Let me live deep while I live; let me know the rich juices of red meat and stinging wine on my palate, the hot embrace of white arms, the mad exultation of battle when the blue blades flame and crimson, and I am content. Let teachers and priests and philosophers brood over questions of reality and illusion. I know this: if life is an illusion, then I am no less an illusion, and being thus, the illusion is real to me. I live, I burn with life, I love, I slay, and am content.”

-Conan the Cimmerian, from the story Queen of the Black Coast

Good quote Vash, and good story too.

Here’s another…

“When walking thru the gates of Hell, Dont Stop.”

Here’s one I’m trying for myself:
“2500 people know what a fat-ass you are.” (Based on the number of views on my before pics post)

‘Somewhere out there, a little Chinese girl is warming up with your max.’

‘xalepa ta kala’

another good Conan quote:
“Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their women.” from the first Conan Movie (The Barbarian)

my all-time favorite (from that shitty Antonio Banderas movie the 13th warrior, but hey…its my peeps and my gods, yo!)
“Fear profits no man. The ALLFATHER took the skein of your life before you were born.”

Just put a picture of ben stillers charachter in dodgeball up. Then make a little sign that reads “Here at (your local gym) we’re better than you”

just don’t look at it while you are doing heavy squats or you may begin to laugh and slip.

Do not let your sacoplasmic (made up word) hypertrophy get to your head; you are not that strong momentum boy. This will leave many gym rats scratching their huge forheads.
Chris Shugart/Merry Christmas, Bob/wrote:
Within this haze of pleasure and pain, there’s knowledge and power, self-discipline and self-reliance.
w00t!

“Pain is temporary, Pride lasts forever.”

“The only difference between a brave man and a coward is that they brave man still goes forward, even though every fiber of his being is telling him to go back.”
Ross Hunt wrote:

‘xalepa ta kala’
I was taking a long chug of water when I came across this and inhaled it when I laughed. I fucking dare you to say that to someone when they are going balls-out and in the bottom of a squat, 'cause I plan on doing that tomorrow. That is intensely funny!! That even beats “You are depriving some Irish village of it’s idiot”. I’m definitely putting your quote up on my door.

PAIN IS A LEARNED REACTION. IT CAN BE DEALT WITH…
I like this one a lot, bro!

“Resistance is but an obstacle the must be overcome.”
–Robert MacIntyre

“If you live dangerously you’re not afraid of death, if you’re not afraid of death you’re strangely finally living your life.”
–Supreme Court Justice: Mr. Olson

“To become strong, one must first NEED to become strong.” Friedrich Nietzsche

“When you doubt yourself, it is like joining your enemy’s army.” Alexandre Dumas

“Evolution does not happen unless there is conflict that spurs change. Continually go without challenging yourself and one day you’ll wake up to find yourself extinct.” Anonymous

“others meditate…I lift weights.”
-Me

“Pain is like a river, fight its current and it will drown you. Lay still, it will make you float.”
-Me

“Do or do not, there is no ‘try’”
-Yoda from “Empire Strikes Back”

They can do all because they think they can. -Virgil

Greek Scout: “The Persians have enough archers to block the sun with each volley!”
Spartan (Possibly Dienikes): “Good then we will fight in the shade.”
Prior to the Battle of Thermopyle (I think about 480BC)

And

Athenian: “Why does Sparta not have a wall around it?”
Spartan: “A wall of men is better.”

“Always Strong”

Its a simple phrase I just repeat in my head right before a big lift that could nail me to the floor or the bunch.

It just always makes me think of a pickup basketball game I played once at a pretty tough gym I liked playing at. I was guarding this big, loud-mouthed, tubby guy who outweighed me by about 50 lbs. I should have been able to handle him, but I wasn’t as fired up as I should have been and he just kept backing me down into the hole and getting easy little low post moves on me. After a few scores he started trash-talking, saying “You’re not strong enough to guard me”. Just thinking about it makes my blood boil.

So I think of that when it gets late in a workout and I’m getting tired. I just repeat “Alway Strong” in my head, so I’m reminding to alway go strong. It makes me think of just obliterating that guy in the basketball game.

‘Fear is the Mindkiller’ -Fear Factory

I’m aware that Frank Herbert said it in Dune, but Fear Factory said it harder and louder.
