Weight Loss: BCAA Instead of Whey Protein?

Hi.

I’ve been trying to get my girlfriend to adopt a decent low carb diet (with 3 meals - and 3 shakes per day to promote fat utilisation and maintain lean muscle/metabolism). The big problem is she hates whey/casein shakes (all of them!). What are people’s thoughts on her popping a few BCAA caps in between whole food meals, as a substitute for whey/casein.

Thanks in advance.

I know you said “all of them,” but have you had her try Metabolic Drive?

I could never get any of my girlfriends to drink protein until I found Metabolic Drive. Now my current GF thinks it’s like a dessert drink and causes me to go through it much faster.

My mother even likes it.

BCAAs are great, but I don’t feel that they are a good substitute for protein.

If your girlfriend doesn’t like dairy proteins, why not have her just get her protein needs from whole foods? There’s nothing that says you have to consume dairy proteins to build muscle.
