has anyone had much luck with muscle milk or cyto gainer?
You can get still get calories cheap but protein is not cheap.
50 pounds of whey protein at 3.50 to 3.80 per pound is about as cheap as you will get protein per gram. Food costs have really gone up over the last 2 years.
Most weight gainers are maltodextrin and whey.
You can buy maltodextrin in bulk cheap from brewer store online for 1 dollar per pound in 50 pound bags.
Beyond this discussions on cheap food have been covered. Eggs, olive oil, rice, frozen vegtables, and ground beef from wholesale clubs. Seasonal fruit and good sales on meat from a local grocery.
CiCis Pizza or other buffets. Doule cheeseburgers from McDonalds.

they’re supps to provide extra calories, nothing magical.
I used to use them, then realized cytogaine was full of junk carbs and that MM changed it’s formula which makes me think they changed their protein content.
To be honest, your problem isn’t that you need a supplement. You NEED to realize you need to eat around 1,000 calories a day over your maintenance and then you can finally see some weight gain.
Simple as that. I was there, then I actually realized, hey I need to eat a shit load of food to put on weight. Granted, I do take my fair share of supplements, but they wouldn’t do jack if I didn’t bust my ass eatin a ton of food.
maybe this thread will help

Just buy a jar of peanut butter. Infinitely cheaper and a quick easy source of calories
I heard food works well.
I think a lot of people ditch supps after they begin to see the bigger picture. You can eat all the muscle milk and cyto gainer you want, but it won’t do jack for you if your calories aren’t high enough.

Food is best and there’s nothing out there you can’t make yourself better and cheaper. For example, a high quality weight gainer: one cup whole milk, one cup water, 2-3 scoops whey isolate, one frozen whole ripe banana, one scoop chocolate ice cream, 5 grams of creatine, and two tablespoons of flax or Udo’s Choice oil mixed in a blender. Calories? Tons. Protein? Plenty. Fat? Enough. Carbs? Who cares?
Try 1-2 of those between meals and weight you will gain. Might be a good % as bodyfat, but there’s your “weight gainer.”
dont shit, just carry shit wait around
